Hey everyone, Max here, from Arno’s hometown Vlaardingen. I’ve been running on and off for the past decade, still pursuing 5K, which I’ve never actually made. This summer I started again, found a routine and an easy place to run (an almost always empty parking lot near my home), so that if I had to stop for whatever reason during a training run I could easily head back home. Also, I didn’t have to think much about my route, since I just ran around the lot. Then, about three months ago, I started having pains in my Achilles heel. I started cooling after my runs, but the pain got worse. Now, even after a 5K walk, I still feel a bit of pain there. I haven’t been to a doctor yet, because I thought it would heal by itself. I’m really here because I like running and the feeling of not having to care about anything during a run. I would love to run pain free again!
