Outside Unplugged!
🌳 Prescription for today: 10 minutes outside, phone left indoors Daylight, fresh air, and a change of scenery do more for cortisol and mood than most of us give them credit for. It's free, it's fast, and it works with your body instead of against it. No step count, no goal — just get outside for 10 minutes today, notice something (a smell, a bird, the temperature), and leave your phone behind. TIP: If you love hearing the sound of the birds but don't know what bird you're listening to, try this app https://merlin.allaboutbirds.org/ I use it all the time.📲 There's an area we walk the dog every evening across the road from us in the woods with a pond and stream. My app is detecting a kingfisher. How cool is that? Can't wait to see it 🤞🏻 Where did you go, and what did you notice? Tell me below 👇

🌟 It's here — Menopause Symptom Checker: Find Your Root Cause
Grab that pen and paper (or open a note on your phone) and watch my video (link below) 👇 I'll walk you through a simple self-assessment based on my functional medicine training — tick off what's true for you as we go, and by the end you'll know whether it's your Gut, Blood Sugar, or Stress/Adrenals that needs your attention most right now. You're some of the very first to try this 💚 👇 Once you've watched it, comment below with your top area — I'll then personally send you the link to your starter guide, recipes and more for exactly that area. And because you're testing this with me first, I'd love your honest feedback — did it make sense? Did your result feel right? https://www.skool.com/thriveover50/classroom/d04b9e74?md=883e69cb39314321a99ed2dc6b34396d

Hi Jackie. I scored most for ‘gut’, followed by ‘blood sugar’. I’m sure it’s likely to do with my diet, which is fairly healthy, but I’m sure would benefit from some improvement. Thanks. 😀x
Just hit 100 members and over today!
Wow, the community has just passed 100 members - @Fiona Fisher you were my 100th member. Congratulations 🎉🎉 Now the hard work really begins! Tomorrow (Monday) I'm taking the afternoon off as it's my son's graduation at Cardiff Uni. He achieve a First in Computer Science and has already found himself a job. So proud of him. Oh and he's now living with me and my partner, Mike for at least a couple of years apparently!! On Tuesday I'll be posting a poll to find out what you really want to see/help with in this community. Don't forget apart from being a Pilates Instructor and Personal Trainer, I have 18 years experience as a Nutritional Therapist and worked with numerous clients 1:1 so this is slightly different working with you in a community. So to shape this community, I'd really love feedback, suggestions etc. PLUS, I'm going live on Tuesday this week at 5pm BST and I'll post about that tomorrow. Have a good rest of your weekend. xx

Heatwave!
I think many are experiencing a heatwave at the moment and it’s no different here in Italy! We’re really enjoying our hiking holiday in the dolomites. Here's a few photos so far🙂

Looks amazing Jackie. Enjoy xx
Heading off for a bit! 🌿✈️
I'm off on holiday from tomorrow to the Italian Dolomites and taking a proper break (yes, even from Skool!) — so I won't be around as much for the next week. But I wanted to plant a seed before I go... I've been thinking a lot about strength training lately — and how much it matters for us in midlife. It's not just about muscle. It's about blood sugar stability, bone density, metabolism, and yes — that stubborn "menopause middle" so many of us are dealing with. Dr Stacy Sims's research has been a big influence on how I think about this, and I want to bring some of that into the community in a way that's accessible, not intimidating. So when I'm back, I'm considering running a simple strength training challenge to help us get started (or restarted) — nothing scary, just practical, doable moves you can build into your week. Would this be something you'd want to join? 👇 Drop a comment too if there's anything specific you'd want it to cover (kit-free? time of day? beginner-friendly?) — I'll be reading replies while I'm away and it'll help shape the challenge. See you in a week! 💛

Well over 50, but aiming to stay fit and healthy. I’ve an aversion to prescription medications so try my best to manage through diet and lifestyle.
