Something no one wants to talk about
Good morning gentlemen, So as gentlemen there are something’s that we need to address, and it’s not always a subject we want to discuss . This topic can be unpleasant but necessary, that is planning for the future when we are not around. I know it’s grim and unpleasant; however, this is extremely important if you have a spouse or a family. Having a will or a plan laid out so you do not have to put unnecessary burden on those that are left behind. It is important that we have a plan or will lay out for, if and when that time comes. This keeps down stress and unnecessary pressure and even avoid family strife and arguments within the family. Make sure your wishes are laid out in detail and everything is where it can be found. This will give your family and those around you peace of mind. I know this is something no one wants to think about or plan but if you love those around you then make this easier on them now than having to deal with your loss on top of what to do. If you have not done this I encourage you to do this immediately, there is no guarantee that you will be here tomorrow or the next hour. Make your wishes clear and precise, and above all make sure someone knows where to find it should they need it. Also, if you already have this done, revisit this, especially if it’s been awhile. Things change, you might have increased in your finances, property, assets, you might have added to your family, or in some cases have let some go. Nothing could be worse than someone you let go from your life end up with your things because you forgot to make changes. Also start looking ahead for the future . Are you financially investing? Are you saving? Are you looking ahead past 2026? In any case, gentlemen, we as gentlemen owe this to our families and ourselves to give everyone peace of mind.

Lately I have been working to get my finances more organized. My little one is suddenly not so little anymore and is starting college soon. Now is a perfect time to also get my affairs in order. Thanks for posting.

I normally use a windsor or half windsor, but there seem to be many more. what kind of knot do you guys use?

@Shane Musgrave Usually a Half Windsor. Depending on the tie, I may go four-in-hand if I need a little more length.

The Pain of Regret Lasts Forever
Every single one of us has something special inside. Have the courage to bring it out. Don't let fear, doubt, or comfort talk you into dying with everything you were capable of still sitting inside you. You won't be buried with your potential. You'll be buried with your regrets for not using it. ~ Andy Frisella

I needed this today. Thank you.
Will You Be Remembered?
The world only remembers the people who win. Nobody cares how close you came. Nobody cares how hard you tried. Nobody cares that you "did your best". You either fucking win... Or you don’t. That’s the truth. History isn’t written by the person who finished second. It’s written by the Rhodes who refused to finish second. You think Michael Jordan’s legacy was built on participation trophies? You think Tom Brady will be remembered because he was a nice guy? No. They won. Not just once... Over and over and over again. You want your name to mean something long after you’re gone? Win. There is no other way. ~ Andy Frisella

From the movie Troy: “The Thessalonian you are fighting, he’s the biggest man I’ve ever seen. I wouldn’t want to fight him.” Achilles responds: “that’s why no one will ever remember your name.”
