🏆 Shout-out to Matthew Dixon
@Matthew Dixon I asked what you charged for your last one-off mow. Matthew answered with a number and a photo: $80, done the same day. That's the right way to price an overgrown one-off. Charge for the mess, not just the mow. 💪 What's the worst lawn you've quoted this year? Drop the price below 👇

@Stuart Clifford yeah thought I better weed it since I was there.

@Stuart Clifford he hasn't asked. He might give me another call in 6 months 😅
What did you charge for your last one-off mow? 💸
Just the number. No need to explain it. Mine: $60. That's my minimum for a one-off. Drop yours below 👇

@Stuart Clifford that was just the charge for that lawn. Some one-off mows may be less, some may be more.
"Am I leaving money on the table, or undercutting?" 💸
Saw this in the group this week. Most guys answer it by checking what the other guy charges. That's backwards. Start with your own numbers. Say you want $2,000 a week. Half of that goes on running costs. Fuel, maintenance, tax, and gear. So you take home $1,000. $2,000 over a 40-hour week is $50 an hour. But you won't mow 40 hours. There's driving, quoting, fuelling up, changing blades, and fixing stuff. You'll be lucky to get 6.5 hours of actual mowing in a day. So you need $60 an hour just to hit the number. That's why I would recommend that you quote at least $1 a minute. 🕐 Guess the time, then multiply. 30 minutes lawn = $30. Then add hills, trees, catching, and mess. ⏱️ Time the first mow. If it keeps taking longer than you quoted, put the price up. 🚫 Have a minimum. Mine is $35 for a regular mow and $60 for a one-off. If they say no, you've saved yourself the drive. 🗣️ Say it like you mean it. Give the price, then stop talking. Most people are fine with your price if you are. You're running a business, not a charity. What do you charge per minute? Have you worked it out, or are you going off the guy down the road?

I aim for about $75 an hour push mowing. My minimum is $40. A couple of my lawns take like 10 minutes. I know one guy from a franchise who changes $100 an hour push mowing, but then they got those wonderful franchise fees to pay.

@Stuart Clifford I don't know why they would want to pay someone over $500 a month to work for them lol

Hey there! This is a good group. Stuart knows his stuff. Lots of good advice from other people too.
🤖 I'm building a Google Business Profile Review Robot. (Android only)
I have been testing this for a couple of weeks with my own business, and it works really well. It goes through your client list and asks for reviews. Automatically. Here's how it runs: ✅ One request a day. We want to keep the growth natural. ✅ When you get a review, it sleeps for 7 to 21 days (you decide), then starts again. ✅ If someone gets asked and doesn't leave one, they won't hear from it again for 90 to 180 days (you decide.) So your reviews keep growing in the background, and nobody gets annoyed. More reviews, more calls. Reviews are one of the biggest things that rank your Google Business Profile. I want a few beta testers before I roll it out wider. 👇 Join the $9 a month plan and mention the robot when you sign up. I'll set you up. I am only taking on three beta testers this week, so first in, first served.

Definitely worth having. Just set and forget. I'm 3 days in and I got a review today. Now it's on a pause for a week before starting up again.
