Mental strength @Charlie Beljan Charlie displayed the last four days playing in the wind / links golf and his message to people about his tough final round at PPC for PGA of America is so powerful and spot on - super inspired Charlie, and I’m so glad to be a student in the community and learn from you! PS - that hole 15 at Bandon in the freaking wind - wow what a challenging test of golf skills!!

The call the other night was great, lots of insights!!! During the call, I got the advice from Charlie to take more club and swing confident swings. Results Played 32 holes since our call on Tuesday PM Hit 10 greens (a big improvement!) Long on 4 greens (unheard of - 12.5%, normal is 0%) Left/right on 12 greens (~34%) Short on only 6 greens (18%). This number was at 40% short misses for the last round prior to the call. And, my scores were better as a result - each day differential was better than my handicap for the course! So, take an extra club!!! Update: I played early today AM Sunday walk 9 holes. I took “more club” but didn’t factor in 5:45 AM slowness of muscles so still came up short a bunch times (5 greens, missed just short), hit 2 greens, and long 2 greens, too). So - early AM, slow, tired, etc - maybe take an extra, extra club!! An example: my perfect 7 iron goes 160, my good ones go 150 and the average / poor only go 140 to 145. So does it sound crazy to grab a six iron or maybe even a five iron early AM from 155 ? It used to, but not after I keep shooting better numbers.
