@Iyhania Thomas Did you go through Mind Body Behavior for your coaching certificate? I’m in the current cohort. Would love to connect with you about it and ACT.
ACT workshop for school social workers
Big win for me! I conducted a 6 hr ACT workshop for social workers (worth 6 CEUs today.) It was in person with 20 very invested people attending. We had great discussions, activities, exercises and even a little dance party (Dancing around the hexaflex.) I educated on the principles and provided a lot of experiences. I wish I had prepared more about the intersection between ACT and the other EBPs they use, but I shared my humility and learned from them. I loved that some of the exercises led to what I hope will be committed action. One mom talked about how much she dreads making dinner for her family of 6. I used coaching skills to dig a little deeper into the why, and is it a value or is her priority in life right now to spend time and the kids’ many events. By the end of the day she made a SMART goal to work with her family and have them all start planning and prepping meals! One of those goals I never would have suggested, but it seems to fit her values and lifestyle. We also used the Matrix as a group to talk through a big system issue many of them were complaining about on break. They said they could see the benefit of doing that with their staff!

Will the recording be available?
RBT PDU events
Hello, all! I have a question regarding PDU requirements for RBTs. It was my understanding that any ACE provider event that a BCBA can attend for CEU credits would also count as PDU credits for RBTs. However, I am now seeing that some organizations are providing events that specifically have PDU listed rather than CEU GEN, ETH, or SUP. Does anyone know if the event has to have PDU listed to count for RBTs? Any guidance is greatly appreciated! (I also plan to reach out to the BACB).
