Sooo … something’s been eating my baby snap peas seedlings 🌱 and I think it’s a 🐀. I’m determined to not use traps or poison — and I think I found a simple solution. Whaddya think?? Bamboo skewers poked into the soil at odd angles (like those roof spikes for pigeons) surrounding the shoots. Fingers crossed this works. Skewers are easy. 👍🏼👍🏼🚫🐀 Have you had this or similar issues? How’d you handle it?

Good morning! I got my front planted! I know i need mulch but i an doing the best i can... lol the oh I put the Dahlia in it's like clay underneath it I try to make extra big and added soil from my tomato bed. Hopfully it will grow!

Who's doing soil wars this spring?

So, here in the Raleigh, NC area, we are in a drought. The night before last it rained. Today it rained again. But I'm conflicted. You see, Thursday morning, I put two seeding trays on the back deck to harden off. I had my pepper starts, a few basil starts, and my oregano start in those trays. Then I pulled my back right after I put them out there and spent most of the day flat on my back recovering. I think two of my peppers survived. The basil and oregano are gone. Not sure where, they're just gone. Guess I'm going to direct seed the rest!
