Hey! I'm Danita, here to learn and implement so that I can work towards my secret goal of making something more of myself other than mom, wife and employee. Currently solo 'mommying' and trying to figure life out in our 'half way house' South Africa while we wait for our visa approval to join my husband in Ireland. Time to do anything is always a factor but I am adamant to make a difference, share my journey and meet some amazing women along the way. Back Story

I've been watching some posts from the group about back story. I spent some time today working on mine. I would love to get some feedback on my backstory script. I’ve been a lover of language all my life... and a writer for most of my adult life. I’m Steffani—an award-winning poet with a Master’s in Creative Writing. There was a time I felt invisible. [beat]Not broken—just unseen. At sixty-three, I realized the world doesn’t always make room for people my age... so I decided to build my own stage. That spark became Ink & Ember Studio: a place where words, images, and ideas catch fire again. Now I create at Ink & Ember— and provide haven for other dreamers who want to be seen... and a candle to light their path. I welcome all suggestions for improvement!

Creator Breakthrough Series - I Had to Pivot😃

This Challenge did exactly what it was supposed to do--Create A Breakthrough! Okay, during Day 3 of the Creator Breakthrough Series, and really toward the end to complete the assignment, I had to pause for a reality check😓. I accepted that my primary channel was not my passion😅. And, during the Live Call, which was the next day, I asked Alexa's (and a few others') opinion. It was final and it was clear😁. I will keep my channel, but create a new channel (which I did) and use this Creator Breakthrough Series challenge for my passion interests. For now I am behind, but will catchup!!! So, I will update the series workbook and continue to post here in the Tribe.

@Dr. Saundra Stancil you inspired me when you said you would start a new channel talking about a topic you really love! Yes, I am participating in the challenge, I am slow., I got clarity with day 7 and 8. Now I need to take action and post the nest video. I am trying to do what Alexa suggested and batch the videos. I haven’t built my muscles so I agonize over the script I practice into my camera and record myself. I walk and record myself. I work. Morning moon and night at my job of an online teacher. With all that said. I have 2 days off for Thanksgiving and I know it will come together.,My goal is to challenge my audience to learn to read by Christmas. I have taught beginning readers for 33 years because I am a teacher. I am preparing my videos to strengthen my students word by word sentence by sentence and paragraph by paragraph page by page and book by book. It is my goal and I am working on the clarity to make it happen. Others have done it so I know I can. I just can’t stop working.. Teaching hourly students is work. Making hourly videos is work. But building an audience to help them read will open my door to selling recorded courses and products and I can make my yearly salary every month by teaching more students and making a dent in the literacy crisis in America. That is my challenge. I just need to break it down into baby steps. 1% better every day. It can quickly get overwhelming with the exciting possibilities in the future so I need to simply figure out how to get good at posting engaging content which I haven’t done before, My analytics have a steady 150 views of my previous 10 videos and one is me reading a children’s book. 😀. But I will learn from day 7 and 8’d breadthrough videis and my first goal is to find my authentic voice that resonates with my audience. My goal is engagement and getting people to click on my useful free pdfs.
