Tip of the week: Leave the bush better than you found it.🚯
I see this in BC canada way to much on old claims so this year im dedicating my trips back by clean up after my rock hunting trips. I don’t just go out there for crystals and minerals. Yeah, that’s the passion… but it’s not the whole story. Every time I head into the bush, I’m paying attention to everything — the creeks, the ground, the old trails, the history… and the mess that gets left behind. Abandoned junk, old camps, scrap, garbage… and the worst part is, a lot of it ends up in or near the water. And that’s where it matters most. Creeks and rivers aren’t just part of the landscape — they’re life. For the land, for the wildlife, and for all of us. So I made it a rule for myself: If I’m taking something out of the bush… I’m giving something back. Sometimes that’s a few pieces of trash. Sometimes it’s a full truckload. But every time I leave, I make sure I’ve done something to help clean it up — and I take a second to appreciate what the land gave me that day. That’s what this is really about. Through TE Prospecting and Iron Hardrock Haulers, it’s not just about finding things… it’s about protecting what’s still out there. So next time you’re out: • Pack out more than you pack in • Stay mindful around creeks and waterways • Respect the land like it’s your own It doesn’t take much — but it adds up fast. Let’s keep the backcountry clean, wild, and respected.
