Celebrating Our Cozy Makers Club--Pages 12-13
My daughter, Desiree, designed a 13-page Cozy Makers Club graphics pack, and she's gifting it to anyone who can use and enjoy it. No strings, no sign-ups beyond being part of this little corner of the world. This collection was created to celebrate our new community and to gently carry us into the new year wrapped in beauty, friendship, and endless creative possibilities. Each page was designed with cozy makers in mind—those who love texture, warmth, imagination, and the quiet joy of creating something by hand. If you'd like to thank Desiree, she'd love it if you'd heart something you find especially nice in her new Etsy shop. Purchasing isn't necessary, but a heart lets her know what she's doing right. https://www.etsy.com/shop/RelateandCreateCo You can copy and print from here, or download them from my https://ko-fi.com/lyndacokerdesigns page later this week.

Try Something New With Your Sewing
There’s a quiet kind of magic that happens when we pick up a needle and thread. It’s familiar, comforting… but also full of possibility. Sometimes all it takes is one small step outside our usual habits to open the door to a whole new way of creating. Lately, I’ve been leaning into a style of stitching that’s less about perfection and more about presence. Letting fabric scraps guide me. Following color instead of rules. Mixing textures simply because they feel good together. It’s playful, freeing, and endlessly surprising—and I want to invite you to try it, too. You don’t need fancy supplies or a grand plan. Just gather a handful of scraps, breathe, and let your hands wander. Maybe add a patch of unexpected color. Maybe stitch without marking a single line. Maybe layer fabrics the “wrong” way and see what story appears. This gentle kind of exploration is where creativity wakes up again. It reminds us that sewing isn’t just a skill—it’s a practice, a conversation, a bit of personal joy we get to shape however we like. So if your stitching routine has felt a little predictable, consider this your nudge. Try something new. Let your needle meander. See what unfolds when you give yourself permission to experiment. Your next favorite piece might be the one you didn’t plan at all.

That's what I do in my slow Stitching sampler books. Just put whatever bits and pieces together that makes me feel good.
If your stitching style had a personality, what would it be?

I named one of my junk journals Rebel Quilter. It fits my personality perfectly.
A Little About Me
Age: 79 Home: East Texas, USA Married 61 Years Hi, I’m Lynda, the maker behind this cozy corner. I’ve always found comfort in simple materials—scraps of fabric, bits of lace, old garments waiting for a second life. Slow stitching became my way of grounding myself, finding beauty in imperfections, and creating something meaningful with my hands. Over the years, it’s grown into more than a craft. It’s become a philosophy: - Creativity doesn’t need perfection, It just needs heart. - Strive to do me--very well - Stay Scrap Happy My joy is teaching others—beginners, returning makers, and lifelong stitchers—to trust their intuition, embrace the process, and feel proud of what they create. Here in The Cozy Maker’s Club, I share everything I wish someone would have told me when I first started… plus all the inspiration I’ve gathered along the way. Come curious, linger for the magic, and stay to grow alongside a community that feels like home.

It's been a pleasure to get to know you over the years and you have inspired me so much to not give up on my dreams. It's helping me get through growing older and all that comes with it with a positive mindset.
