How Bias is AI?
Hey guys, quick question. How many of you use separate AI platforms when you are doing deep thinking and deep research? I came across this bias about a year ago. I was doing some research, did a little double-checking, and realized something. Using the same AI for both thinking and research makes the results biased. I kind of attribute it to a student grading their own test. The same brain that wrote the answer is the one deciding if the answer is right. So now I am curious where everyone here lands on this. Are you splitting it across two tools, or running it all in one? And if you run it all in one, have you ever caught it telling you what you wanted to hear?

@Carla Bosteder LOL, thanks your interesting comments. I have used notebook LM before but I didn't realize you could do deep research with it. If I'm doing deep research on something very important, I'll typically use Deep Research in Perplexity and Gemini to gather as much information and as many citations as I can. I then have a special Claude project I use to decipher the research and I always tell Claude to 'give me the gut punch' don't candy coat anything. So I'm thinking it might help with the overpleasing issue? I also talk to Claude as if I were talking to another person across the table. (I haven't used prompts in about a year. ) I brief it as if it were my chief of staff. I have been using Claude code with VS Code myself. I will take a peek at Kimi. Thanks!

@Shirsho Guha Thanks for this info I'm definitely going to check it out.
Turns out the academics are a lap behind us.
Had a call today with researchers from Stanford's Autonomous Agents Lab. They're studying AI adoption at marketing agencies. Found me via Google. I asked them how much research they did on me first, none; they were embarrassed to say they just filled out my contact form. I warned them it might not be the conversation they expect. At the end, they said I was the most advanced agency owner they'd spoken with. They'd never heard of ICM. These are smart people doing real research. They've talked to a lot of agencies. And the most common thing they see is: people using ChatGPT chat, maybe dabbling with agents, struggling to get them to do things reliably end-to-end. You all know what I've been running for the past 2 months and I showed them. Then the researchers showed me their own tool โ€” an autonomous browser agent that can log into Google Ads and act. I told them: I don't write to external platforms without a human reviewing it first. That's a policy, not a technical limitation. My clients' $20K/month runs through my judgment, not an AI's. Human in the LOOP! Their reaction: "that makes sense." But they were clearly used to hearing "I'm trying to get the AI to do more." I'm not. I'm trying to get the AI to help me reason better. That's a different goal. My takeaway: if you're in this group and you're here honestly learning, you're way ahead, don't stop! Keep building! Ronnie Coleman once said: "Everybody wants to be a bodybuilder, but nobody wants to lift no heavy-ass weights."

@Curtis Hays RE: My clients' $20K/month runs through my judgment, not an AI's. Human in the LOOP! 1000%!!!! I'm so glad to hear people in here talking about this. AI is here to enhance us not replace us!

@Curtis Hays Yes I think of myself as a fiduciary as well when it comes to handling my clients ad spend money. I run a digital marketing agency as well. It is so funny how everybody thinks about pumping out more content faster, do more stuff faster, more automations faster... rather than how about we just do things better? How about we think better using AI? I think for a lot of people AI has replaced their thinking... LOL I can see we think along the same lines. Nice to meet you, Sir.
๐Ÿ“Š POLL: What industry are you actually building for?
We talk about folders all day, but the folders are FOR something. I want to know what... ๐ŸŽ–๏ธBonus points: comment with the single most painful manual process in your industry. The best comp entries come from exactly those answers.

@Liani Smith I'm working on building an AI operating system. I haven't jumped into any of Jake's training other than a couple of his Youtube videos. Basically I'm gonna help small businesses plug the leaks that drain money that nobody notices to begin with along with the obvious AI answering calls after hours asking for Google reviews, replying to Google reviews, etc. How about you? I'm curious what you're working on?
๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง GOOD MORNING FROM LONDON! ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง
Jake and I made it across the pond. We're here for London Tech Week all week. We got invited out for this one, which still feels surreal to type. We've got multiple pitch slots in front of investors over the next few days to talk about what we're building at Eduba and where this community is headed. Big moments lined up. Big rooms. Big swings. ๐Ÿš€ If you're at the conference, DM me! Would genuinely love to meet anyone from the community in person. We'll be all over the Techscaler booth and floating between sessions. Even if it's just a hello and a handshake, hit me up. ๐Ÿ™ And if you've got a second, send some good energy our way this week. We're about to walk into some rooms that could change the trajectory of what we're building. Wish us luck. Light a candle. Whatever your version of that is. We'll take all of it. Now to the real reason you're here. ๐Ÿ‘‡ ---- ๐Ÿ‘‡ ๐Ÿ† 7-DAY LEADERBOARD WINNER: @Bas Rosario ๐Ÿ† ๐Ÿ”ฅ Bas just won it AGAIN. Back-to-back. Last week he won as a Premium member and we converted him to free Premium for life. This week he's already Premium for life, so we're bumping him up. โœจ Free VIP for life. โœจ The Drawing Room. High Tea. Bespoke folder builds with Jake. All of it. Forever. No charge. ---- โฐ The 7-day clock just reset. Next Monday we crown the next winner. Could be you. ๐ŸŽฏ How it works: - ๐Ÿ“ Post bad ass stuff - ๐Ÿ’ฌ Help people in the comments - ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Share what you're building, what's working, what's breaking - โค๏ธ Engage with other members' posts The leaderboard tracks all of it. Whoever sits at #1 next Monday wins. ---- ๐ŸŽ The prize, depending on where you're at: ๐Ÿ†“ Free member? You get lifetime Premium, free โญ Already Premium? We convert your Premium so you stop paying ๐Ÿ‘‘ Already VIP? We convert your VIP so you stop paying Either way, you stop paying. Forever.

@Matthew Creamer Wow, this group is fire. I'm like one of the other guys in here. I just happened across one of Jake's videos on Youtube and it blew my mind as I've been trying to build in AI operating system for the last couple months. I know I'm in the right place.
