Both for function and style. You often hear that watches are no longer functional as you can see the time on your cellphone - that maybe true for someone who always has the phone in their hands. In my case - I do not carry my phone with me around the house, and I often leave it at home if I go for a walk or do some reading in a cafe. If I do bring my phone with me, it's in my jacket pocket or manpurse. A wristwatch is a lot more convenient to quickly look up time.

Here is a panda watch that's not a traditional chronograph. It's a GMT+calendar watch. I also found it interesting that the GMT function is implemented by a rotating bezel instead of a 2nd hour hand https://a.co/d/0ZWorOL I hadn't bought it so I can't say how it is in real life. It's much too large for me.
