🎨 From Doomscrolling to Deep Focus: The Analog Resurgence of 2026
Many are tired of the "infinite feed" in 2026, we’re seeing a massive shift. People are getting tired of too much AI and the anxiety of doomscrolling. We still want to connect, but we’re craving something tactile, real, and restorative. Why the "Analog" Surge? Retail data is backing this up: Searches for analog hobbies jumped 136% recently, with craft kit sales projected to climb another 40% this year. We aren't throwing our phones in the river; we’re just re-balancing. Here is why "Going Analog" is the ultimate vibe shift for our mental health: Completion over Consumption: Unlike the endless scroll, you actually finish a painting, a puzzle, or a knitted scarf. That sense of "done" is a dopamine hit that actually feels good. The Meditative Flow: Repetitive motions (like stitching or sketching) quiet the algorithmic noise and let you reconnect with your own thoughts. Real-World Connection: Board game cafes, pottery classes, and vinyl listening parties are replacing comment threads with eye contact and actual laughter. Simple Swaps to Reclaim Your Energy You don't have to go off-grid to feel the benefits. It’s about intentionality: 📖 Journaling instead of tweeting. 📱 Move online connection →meet IRL (In Real Life) event in-person, face-to-face, physical meetup. ⏰ Physical alarm clocks to keep the phone out of the bedroom. 🧩 Tabletop gaming for a social night. The goal? Using tech to find the community, but using our hands to find the calm. 🧘‍♂️✨ What’s one "analog" activity that helps you unplug and recharge lately? Drop a photo of your latest game played or hobby below! 👇

Heading to the Temple of the Universe tonight! ✨ Who’s read Michael Singer?
Hey everyone! I’m heading up to Michael (Mickey) Singer’s Temple of the Universe outside of Gainesville tonight and wanted to see if anyone here is familiar with his work? If you’ve read The Untethered Soul or The Surrender Experiment, you know how life-changing his teachings on inner peace and "letting go" can be. Tonight’s Schedule: - 5:30 PM: Pre-yoga meditation - 6:00 PM: Hatha Yoga - 8:15 PM: Mickey’s Talk Night (These are always profound!) The Temple is a long-established meditation and yoga center set on 600 acres of beautiful land and is open to everyone, regardless of your beliefs. If you can’t make it in person, I highly recommend checking out his talks on Spotify or YouTube. 1. Letting Go (The Internal Process) This is your inner work. It focuses on what you do with the "stuff" inside you—the thoughts, emotions, and past triggers (which he calls Samskaras). - The Action: When you feel a "tightness" in your chest or a reactive thought because someone cut you off in traffic, you relax and release. - The Goal: To stop the energy from getting blocked. You "let go" of the resistance so the energy can flow through you rather than getting stuck and becoming a part of your personality. 1. Surrender (The External Alignment) This is your outer work. It focuses on how you interact with the world. This was the core of The Surrender Experiment. - The Action: It’s the decision to stop fighting with reality. Instead of saying "It shouldn't be raining," you accept that it is raining and ask, "How can I best serve this moment?" - The Goal: To align your will with the "flow of life." It is a move from control to participation. How they work together: Singer often explains that you cannot truly Surrender to life if you haven't Let Go of your internal preferences. Link to Michael's talks. Has anyone else been here or practiced his "surrender" philosophy? Would love to hear your thoughts! 🕊️

Energy is Everything ⚡️🧠
Ever noticed how a simple walk can completely flip your mood? That’s not just "good vibes", it’s neuroscience in action. 🧬 When you move your body, you aren't just burning calories; you're upgrading your internal hardware. Movement triggers the release of BDNF (Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor). Think of BDNF as "Miracle-Gro" for your brain.🌱 It helps your neurons: ✨ Grow stronger and more resilient. ✨ Communicate at lightning speed. ✨ Repair and create new pathways. By boosting blood flow and balancing your dopamine and serotonin, you aren't just "exercising", you're literally feeding your brain and raising your frequency. The simplest habits carry the most weight. Move your body. Feed your brain. Raise your vibe. How do you like to get your energy flowing lately? ⛅️

@Benjamin Ross That’s a great routine! Keeping a consistent mix of cardio and flexibility work is such a solid way to stay balanced. What kind of cardio is your go-to at the gym, are you a fan of the treadmill, or do you prefer something like the elliptical or rowing machine?

@Julianne Anderson that's awesome, do you usually get those steps in during a dedicated walk, or are you just naturally on the move throughout the day?

Let’s Actually Find “Our People” Here 💬
Making friends as an adult can be a challenge. If you’ve ever felt like everyone else already has their "inner circle" while you’re still looking for yours, you aren't alone. In the book You Will Find Your People, Lane Moore shares a refreshing truth: “It’s not just you.” She reminds us that lasting friendships don't come from being the most "interesting" or "cool" person in the room. Instead, they grow from small brave moves, honest conversations, and better boundaries. Embrace Small, Real Interactions Real connection often starts with simple, low-stakes moments. We don't need a grand gesture to build a bond; we just need to be present. This week, let’s use the HapiNow Vibn community as our practice ground. Try one of these "Small Brave Moves" today: Go Beyond the React: Reply thoughtfully to at least two posts instead of just clicking a "like" button. Reach Out Personally: DM one member and say: “Hey, I really resonated with what you shared about ______. I’ve felt that too. Would love to connect more around that!” The Big Idea: Finding adult friends becomes an adventure when you stop performing and start connecting. We don’t have to pretend that building a community is effortless. We’re all here to grow together, set loving boundaries, and take small risks. Your "real people" are closer than you think, sometimes they're just one comment away. Which of these moves are you going to try first? Drop a comment below and let’s start the conversation. *Link below Audiobook preview by Google Playbooks 0:00 Intro 0:03 How to Make Friends 20:47 Figuring Out What Kinds of Friendships You Want 35:38 Outro
