I’m 44 and was diagnosed with ADHD when I was in the 1st grade. I was on medication for most of my schooling years and when I went off life went to crap. Quite honestly, I hate medication. I hate how it makes me feel. As I adapted to life without medication I was able to somewhat manage life without it, but it took many years. I have a family, ran a successful business, and at the age of 38 I went back to school. I once again tried medication but hated it. I managed to get my 4 year degree but during that time I had experienced major burnout at the end of my 3rd year and had to close my business. I’m currently a homeschool mom. I have always had the hardest time with procrastination but recently have come to some sort of paralysis in completing any task. I know all this things to do to manage ADHD but can’t seem to get it together to actually do them. Thank you for having me in this group!
