Printmaking is a passion of mine it’s one of those processes that asks you to slow down and stay curious. It’s rewarding, sometimes surprising, and very much a case of figuring things out as you go. No two pulls are ever quite the same, and that’s part of the joy. I’m especially drawn to animals and sea life. There’s something about carving a line, inking a plate, and revealing a creature bit by bit that feels both grounding and exciting. It’s patient work, but it teaches you so much about trust, texture, and letting go of perfection. I am working on some editing which isn’t ready yet but I’ve just had a look back through my archives to these. This one is about my journey so far and how this space has quietly connected me with creators all over the world. ❤️🖌️ A Smidgen of Calm I thought I was building something small, just a quiet corner on the internet, a place for noticing, for unfinished thoughts and half drunk cups of tea. I didn’t expect the world to walk in. I didn’t expect voices from different time zones, different lives, different stories to sit down beside me and say, me too. We arrived carrying different things burnout, hope, grief, curiosity, a pencil that hadn’t been used in years, a song that needed somewhere to land. And somehow, in this shared space, we softened. We listened. We remembered how to play. Not to impress. Not to perform. Just to be. Now when I open my screen, it feels less like logging on and more like opening a door. And every name I see is proof that creativity isn’t lonely at all it was only ever waiting for a place to gather.

Today I’m feeling a bit burnt out. One of those days where everything feels louder and heavier than usual. Working on this week’s theme — Noticing has gently reminded me that creativity doesn’t always mean doing more. Sometimes it means doing less and paying closer attention instead. Noticing the light through the window. Noticing my breath slow down. Noticing when my body is asking me to pause. These moments don’t look productive, but they matter just as much. They hold us when we’re tired. They help us come back to ourselves. I have added week three to the classroom ( including kids version) enjoy and spread the wealth 🥰 If today feels like a noticing day for you too, that’s more than enough 🌱
