I’ve been thinking a lot about handwritten letters lately.
Is snail mail quietly powerful… or is it just me ? I’d love to know 💬 When was the last time you received a handwritten letter?

Oh, how I would love to receive a handwritten letter again… I had a few friends in high school who went to the army, and I remember the paper with ‘FEW DAYS’ softly written in the background, counting down until they’d be done. (Yes, this was South Africa in the late 1980s!) Waiting for their reply and checking every day to see if the postman had arrived...what an amazing, heartfelt experience that was. There’s something so special about that kind of anticipation and connection that I miss today. That said, I do have a friend who will be leaving soon to visit his children in Australia for two months. I think...though I’ll have to plan it carefully...I’m going to slip a handwritten letter into his bag, since I’ll be the one taking him to the airport. It feels like a small, meaningful way to bring back a little of that magic I loved so much from those old letters. So, what do you ladies think...should I really do it and sneak a little handwritten letter into his bag? P.S. Just to clarify...we’re only friends, but good friends. And if this single lady ever needs a hand, he’s always willing to drive 45 minutes with a smile to help out!

📸 Just for fun… Camera Roll Roulette!
Let’s play a low-effort, zero-thinking game 👀 👉 Use your 𝗯𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 to choose a photo from your camera roll. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀: *January = 1st most recent photo *February = 2nd *March = 3rd *April = 4th …and so on. ✨ 𝗥𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 (𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀): *Must be from your actual camera roll *No screenshots *No random downloads *Just a real moment from your life Post the photo in the comments and tell us one sentence about it (or don’t — mystery is allowed 😏). I’ll go first 👇

Fed my Soul today ❤️
On a rainy Sunday, I was comfortable at home in fave easy to wear comfy clothes. There was housework to do..(boring, but needed) generally an easy, quiet day planned. And then a reminder popped up... I had said yes to a Love Songs Bingo Beats event, run by a social group of ladies (none of whom I knew) As I sat there contemplating, I remembered the saying that goes..Frock up & show up..so, I did just that. There was live music, plenty of laughter, prizes to win and a special treat of Lion Dancing, for Chinese New Year. I had a lovely afternoon! And felt so good, that once home, I put on a raincoat & went for a walk. Feeling very pleased with my choice to go 🥰

Thank you so much for sharing this ... we all need those moments where we remind ourselves to get up and show up, even when it takes a little extra courage. I also joined a ladies-only group toward the end of last year, and I honestly cannot explain how much it has enriched my life. I’ve always been content on my own, but after becoming part of this circle, I realised just how nourishing it is for the soul to be surrounded by other women ... to laugh, to share, and simply to belong. This coming Saturday I have the honour of hosting February’s get-together ... my very first time and I’m truly looking forward to it. It feels special to now create a space for others, just like the one that has meant so much to me.
