Where are your members from?
It's incredibly important that you keep talking about your community and stay active on other platforms and in other Skool communities. Without visibility, you can’t just assume you’ll attract new members. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m basically just producing one longer video and then using AI to turn the transcript into social-media posts that are automatically shared on other platforms. In almost every one of those posts, I point to the product that you can get for free inside my community. My question for you: Do you do it the same way? Are you currently gaining members, and if so, from which platform?

Mine mainly from LinkedIn and referrals due to the nature of my Skool community being career oriented. When I last ran the forum, some members came from FB/Insta and Eventbrite.

🥾 LEVEL UP TO THE RIDGE! 🏔️ Make the most of these last days of summer!
We’ve grown plants. We’ve designed islands. Now we’re hitting the trail! 🌲🥾 Welcome to Level Up to the Ridge — our end-of-summer community challenge. Everyone starts with an empty backpack. 🎒 Drop a backpack emoji (or GIF) 🎒 below in the comments! Then help your fellow community members get ready for the climb by adding: 🥾 Boots — to build a strong foundation 🔦 Flashlight — for clarity on the path ahead ⛺ Tent — a place to regroup and recharge 💧 Water — to fuel their momentum 🪢 Rope — support so they never climb alone See someone on the trail? Reply to their backpack and add something they need for the hike. The more people you support, the more support comes back your way. And remember, every time you level up in the community, you unlock new resources, opportunities and exclusive perks. 🎒 Drop your backpack below and let’s see how many of us can make it to the ridge before summer ends! 🏔️🙌

Instagram 🤨
A midlife woman I know just posted on Threads about how she’s so sick of trying on Instagram and getting nowhere. I posted that I think Instagram is a big old waste of time (especially for attracting new people). The number of replies trying to get her to keep on wasting her time was very high. Now I know most of them are probably trying to sell her something Instagram related. But why are so many digging their heels in when it comes to Instagram? And are we, as midlife women less willing to let our lives be dictated by a social media app. Hence we are here instead. Maybe it’s also a generational thing because we remember what life was like before we were dictated to by algorithms. Anyway. I just thought it was interesting and wanted to see what you all think.

Thanks for the insights. I haven't started on Insta and was thinking to give it a go, looks like I shouldn't, should change my focus to something else. I have been using LinkedIn as my main one (mainly due to my target audience), also use email list, FB and YT as well but at a lower capacity.
Which social channel do you use to drive traffic to your Skool? 🚗
So, we've had our Skool group going for 3-4 months now and growing steadily due to heaps of summit and bundle appearances 😄. We know we need to get a wiggle on with sorting out our social media activity. It's kinda taken a back seat amongst all the app development and Skool establishment. What I'd love to know is which channels you use to drive traffic to your own communities. I'm sure many of you use more than one (and Skool's polling tool doesn't let us choose more than one option) so just pick whichever one is most successful for you. Do let me know in the comments why you prefer your particular option and why it works so well for you. I have my own preferences going into this choice, but I wanted to get a really unbiased view from you all, and to see if there were angles I had not considered or maybe ignored. Thank you!

I use LinkedIn as my main one because my community is Career Connecting with the primary purpose of supporting people through career transitions, my primary audience is mostly on LinkedIn. Having said that, I am learning to get broader than LinkedIn eg Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Rednote ... slowly slowly 😅

@Erika Latta I have been using LinkedIn, then move people to Skool for deeper connections and helpful resources.... still learning. 😊
