Instagram 🤨
A midlife woman I know just posted on Threads about how she’s so sick of trying on Instagram and getting nowhere. I posted that I think Instagram is a big old waste of time (especially for attracting new people). The number of replies trying to get her to keep on wasting her time was very high. Now I know most of them are probably trying to sell her something Instagram related. But why are so many digging their heels in when it comes to Instagram? And are we, as midlife women less willing to let our lives be dictated by a social media app. Hence we are here instead. Maybe it’s also a generational thing because we remember what life was like before we were dictated to by algorithms. Anyway. I just thought it was interesting and wanted to see what you all think.

@Jen Rattie that's so interesting. I've been on Instagram one way or another since it started. But back when it was easier to grow, I didn't take it seriously (I was a Pinterest gal). I think I am a fan of strategies that are more time efficient basically 😂

@Tosca Fasso That's the thing. There are so many drop off points. First your post has to be shown in the feed, then you have to stop the scroll, then they have to consume enough to see the CTA, then they have to take the action. That's a lot of places to lose people.

The Black Friday Bundle is a paid bundle with 40% commission for contributors. It's not just for those who love to go all in on Black Friday, it's also for those who prefer to sit it out and take a more low lift or evergreen approach. So products that fit either of these categories would be great. Bundle is happening 7th - 18th September. Deadline is Friday 31st July. You can get more info and apply here: https://links.amyhardie.co/black-friday-bundle-26

@Brenda Rigney I’m excited. Made a few fun things to go with it and been writing my swipe copy today.
🛶 Build Your Canoe to Level Up (ALL LEVELS WELCOME) 🛶
Here’s how it works 👇 Step 1: Drop a plant emoji 🛶 or a canoe GIF in the comments Step 2: “Build” 3 other members canoes by replying to their comment with a 🛟 life preserver emoji or GIF Getting likes and replies on your comment helps your plant grow (aka helps you level up) 🌲✨ Alright… go build your canoe and ask your friends to bring a life preserver 🛟 PS - I am specifically tagging some Level 1 members that recently joined 🥰

@Morag Kent yay! I got 40 new folk too. It would appear 40 is the magic number!

@Morag Kent yep. They are so good for decent growth. They are my favourite and hosting them is next level. I'm testing out an audio summit in November too. Not sure how that will go, but that's why I'm testing it.
What do you call yourself?
Entrepreneur, founder, solopreneur, something else? I'm curious what you call yourself or which identity you resonate with the most because I always struggle with what to call folks.

Wow - a good mix. I think I'm going to use founder in my banner as it has shown up a lot. Thanks everyone.
