New Habits?
I wanted to share this thought before I leave this afternoon. I've been applying some of the ideas I learned last month. Specifically, Protect the first hour: I got this one from Daniel Pink. No phone, checking email, or other work-related tasks. Rather, this is the time for journaling, meditating, or whatever calms the nervous system and the mind. It sets the tone for the day. Schedule: James Clear talks about creating a system we can stick with even on our worst day. He also offers a great reframe on goals and the work involved. For example, the goal isn't to write a book, the goal is to become a writer. That said, what's the most ridiculously smallest task I could give myself that a writer would? Answer: Write one sentence. Every day. At the same time. So far, I've logged 18 days where I've written one sentence at 8am (in my calendar on weekdays). I start with one sentence, but it always winds up being more. I've also combined "Protect" and "Schedule" in that I "protect" the "one sentence". When I'm writing that sentence, it's not destined to go anywhere but for my own eyes. This is my processing incubator. My thoughts flow much more freely since I've made that commitment to myself. What new habits have you been trying out this year? What's been working for you? What feels like a habit that you could easily sustain (even on your worst day)? Let us know what's working for you. Let's inspire each other to achieve more with less effort. Have an amazing weekend, you marvelous badasses!

Oh, I love this!! I am going to be more protective of my 1st hour, as well. I try to meditate, have a coffee, and be still for the 1st hour of my day, but I have been letting myself get drawn into my phone to check messages and see if anything is urgent...when it can all wait for 1 hour. Thanks for the share and the reminder. Game on!

February Coaching Call | Stability & Momentum
Update: I’m going to pause tomorrow’s call and take some time to reflect on the direction of the community. More soon. On our next call, we’ll be exploring stability and momentum, not as rigid routines or one-size-fits-all structures, but as something that evolves with you, much like the seasons. ➡️ PLEASE NOTE - TIME CHANGE: The call is next Wednesday, Feb 4 at 10am ET (and not 12pm). Before the call: Please take the Positive Intelligence Saboteur Assessment and bring your top Saboteurs list with you. It's a quick exercise (truly, no more than 15 minutes tops) and you're encouraged not to overthink your answers. We’ll use that awareness to better understand how our energy, focus, and momentum are influenced and how we can shape shift them to better serve us. Looking forward to a grounded, practical conversation.

From Pivot to Masterpiece
What happens when inspiration, intuitive nudge and pivot intersect? Our resident artist @Dee Stewardson can certainly speak to that. In our last mastermind, she shared how a change in plans (that in the past would have been super disappointing) turned into a gift. She took advantage of the time regained and finished a painting... a labour or love. We had the honour and privilege to see it and were blown away at how beautiful it was. Honestly, when I saw the thumbnail in the chat - I thought it was a photo. Well, it seems we weren't the only ones that were seriously impressed - a few days later, that same canvas was accepted in the OH! My Canada show! It gets better - out of 90 submissions, they only accepted 44 and Dee's painting was one of them. I share this because Dee's story highlights the power of allowing ourselves to be pulled into inspired action. What's calling you today?
