How do you choose colors?
I am curious how people make their color choices? Is it a learned skill ? Do I need a color wheel, or is it something that comes naturally ? I am seeing so many elegant combinations and I am envious of your talent of choosing color combinations .

I have a couple of methods. I either go through similar Ravelry projects and pick out color combinations that I like or I use Pallette Scout. I’ve found it to be super helpful. https://www.spunrightround.com/products/palette-scout-1?_pos=1&_psq=Pal&_ss=e&_v=1.0
Clue 2 done! … but…
So clue 2 is officially done and I’m loving it! But, I noticed that my tension was quite off with some of the longer floating sections of color work, so it’s kinda a mess. I’m so torn. Do I continue and hope blocking fixes it, or do I frog and restart, maybe going up a needle size in the section in question. I don’t have a lot of time off work, so it would put me way behind to restart now, but also it might be the best to do it now before I get too far into it and realize I hate it. It’s still very close to gauge, but it does noticeably scrunch in in that section, even though there are increases…. Idk. I’ll probably just frog it and cut my losses now and hurry to catch back up. Also, does anyone else keep a knitting journal? I love it as I don’t have a printer and I like a physical copy of color work charts as I like being able to cover up the chart I haven’t gotten to yet and I like having just what I’m working on written down without any other size details or extras as it slows me down in my workflow

I would put it on barber cords and block it anyways…even if it does take days to dry. It’s better than working on it for weeks only to discover it doesn’t block out. And you’ve already spent days knitting it, so the extra time drying is worth the peace of mind to me. If you have any portable heaters or even a fan, you could use those to speed up the drying process
Where are you from
Sorry Zanete if this message isn't allowed .... But i'm so curious.... Where do you all come from. How spread is your reach of knitters. I think we come from all over the world. We have to do something to kill the time untill the first releas on friday! I have a lot of pleasure here in this group. Seeing all the combinations, reading tips and tricks... Every part in the world has his own knitting method. I will start. I'm from Belgium Europe. A small country with a king and queen! I live near by Bruges. In the middle ages it was a very important city, a center of trade. Nature did dry up the waterways and it fell asleep. Still Looks like the middle ages. A lot of tourism. So English isn't my language. But I'm doïng the best I can and don't use google Translate. Let my mind donthe work

I currently live in downstate New York, (Putnam County) but everyone around me thinks it’s upstate New York…depends on your perspective. I grew up in the North Country, right on the Canada/New York/Three Nations border. I’d love to move back up north, but this is where jobs took my husband and me. It’s a bit too warm for my taste down here. I miss my 6-month winters! Better sweater weather along the St. Lawrence River!
Clue #2 Finished!
I’m really enjoying how doable the knitting for each clue is!
