Greetings folks! Have been seeing wonderful YT shorts from Clief for the past week and finally made my way to the "source" here last night. I am fired up to continue my software development journey with stronger footing provided by the knowledge that flows through these parts. My background is in mobile app entrepreneurship, specifically location-based social platforms, and I put all of that down after many years of grueling failure seeing the world move away from "meat-space" into the digital space. Several trips from LA to San Francisco sealed the deal that if you weren't doing tech that was fully-AI-focused no one would care, even if most of what people were excited about were Chat GPT wrappers. I picked up the programming mantle again (after a two-year break) a few months ago when I found myself abysmally bored with just about every video game on the market, and decided that there was zero downside to investing my free time into learning to make my dream game myself in Unity instead. Paired that with trying out a Claude Max subscription, and HOLY ***** has so much of the friction in learning new tools and frameworks gone the way of the dodo bird!
