Pricing advice for social media post automation using Make & Airtable
Hi everyone, I’m starting to get my first prospects as a freelancer in automation. I’d love to get your thoughts on pricing for a specific automation project I’m working on. Here’s the automation I’m building: - The system allows users to automatically generate social media posts adapted to different platforms from an idea or a link. - I’m creating an Airtable base to manage ideas and posts, which will also include a publishing calendar. - The posts will be generated, scheduled, and published automatically via Make. - I’ll integrate all the necessary tools and offer a live video session to explain how it works. Additionally, I’m considering adding a second layer (maybe a 2d proposal) where posts are generated from keywords linked to trending topics or news updates. T Clarifications: - This is not Stephen G. Pope Kontent automation. I'm doing it from scratch. My question: - How would you price such a one-off automation setup? - How do you price any automation ? Do you have a method ? I want to make sure I’m offering fair pricing while also reflecting the value of the solution. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! PS: I'm offering my services in France so pricing might be lower than in US or somewhere else. Thanks in advance for your insights!

Thank you for your valuable input. To clarify, I'm not planning to charge monthly for managing clients' accounts—instead, I'm selling the system outright as a turnkey solution. Currently, I have set a fixed price of €1700. To determine the most relevant price, I’m considering a model based on the time saved by the automation. Essentially, I plan to calculate the time saved by the system, multiply that by the hourly cost of an employee, and then charge a percentage (around 10%) of the saved value. For example, if the automation saves X hours per month at a cost of Y €/hour, the total savings for the client would be X × Y, and charging 10% of that amount would reflect the value provided. Additionally, several factors contribute to the perceived value of the project: - Operational Efficiency: The system automatically generates, schedules, and publishes posts across multiple platforms. - Scalability and Flexibility: There is potential to add advanced features, such as generating posts from keywords related to trending topics or news. - Support and Training: A live video session will be provided to explain how the system works, ensuring clients can fully leverage its capabilities. Once again, I appreciate your suggestions—they’re helping me refine my approach and better position my offer.

How to make the lenght of the video last the duration of the sound ?
Hey guys, I followed the tutorial about "FACELESS Videos 100% Automated (Airtable, ChatGPT, ElevenLabs)" and I'm almost at the end of it but I'm stuck at the "Merging AudioVideo" part (1:06:44). I've tried and search the reason why JSON2VIDEO give me this error : "Error: Scene #0 duration is less than 1 second" and I found that it must be linked to the duration set on the JSON module. As it is said in the tutorial, we must put -2 for the duration of the video and -1 for the duration of the audio. I've tried with other duration like 15 on each one and Json2video succeded in rendering a video but there was the video then the audio. Regarding that test, I assume that the fact that Json2video issued an error is linked to the duration (-2 and -1). Does anyone has the answer or an idea on how to fix it ? Its been 3 days and I cannot manage to find a solution. @Stephen G. Pope maybe ? :D In advance, thank you for your help. Best regards, Marco

@Stephen G. Pope thanks for the answer. You speak about "something in the configuration" of json2video or Airtable/make ? Cause I've never configure anything on json2video and note sure there is a place to configure something on it. Hope @Joaquim Cardona will have an input on that topic :D Thanks a lot

@Joaquim Cardona Thank for you. It was indeed the JSON modul. For those who have or will have the same issue, I've made a mistake when creating the "Item" in "Scene". I've created 2 item instead of 1 item and 2 sub item. Thanks a lot !

@Stephen G. Pope Awsome video, explenation and content. I'm currently at 1:06:44. The JSON Status is 200 but there is an error in JSON2VIDEO saying Error: Scene #0 duration is less than 1 second. But when I go back to AirTable I have ma video and my audio that are in the right spot and their duration is way more than 1second. Does anyone had the issue or has any though on how to fix it ? The issue seems to come from the "-2 on the video and the "-1" on the audio. I've changed them to put "15" on both and the combine video has been processed but there is the video then the sound. If you have the fix to get the video to last the duration to the audio it would be cool. I dont understand why it wont work with "-2 and -1"
