Just received the new book from Paul Cheek, which focuses on on the organizational part of AI. It is very hands on on how organizations must change to really embrace AI. It also talks about StartUps. I think is a great companion to the ICM approach, as it focus on the company part. So in German we would say „Lesebefehl“ 🫡

I have a big pile of documents I want the agent to use later. Not all of it at once, just the right bits when I ask for them. What is the best practice to handle that? 1. Do you keep the full text of each file, or just a summary of it? 2. Where does it all sit? 3. Months later, how does the agent find the right one again without reading everything? 4. Do I need RAG for this, or is there a simpler way that works? 5. When did your setup stop coping, and what did you change?

I just watched the Jake Van Cleef breakdown, and the biggest thing that stood out to me was how easy it is to use different llms. It clicked because I am trying out different local llms, and having a system which is this easy to set up and maintain is really a game changer. My main takeaway was a reminder, that the foundation matters. You need to document the processes and context and update it with the thing you learn on the way. And if you do this, you can come a pretty long way with quite small models. Which is essential for my work. Going forward, I'm going to document the foundations which currently resides mainly between my ears 🧠.
