Body Doubling + Q&A Today
Whether you just joined or you've been part of the community for a while, as a fellow ADHDer you're exactly where you need to be. Were hosting the following 2 sessions today. So come as you are, bring your questions, and let's figure this out together. Thursday, October 1st 1:30 to 2:30pm EST Body Doubling This is one of the best systems to use to make some progress in the area of executive dysfunction. We open with a brief check in where you state what your working on then work in silence side by side toward our own goals, and close out with a final check in. If you've ever sat down to do something alone and watched an hour disappear before you even started, this is the fix. Something about another person quietly working next to you (even virtually) makes starting easier and finishing more likely. Come with a task, any task, and let's get it done together. 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝘀𝘁 , 𝟯:𝟬𝟬 𝘁𝗼 𝟰:𝟬𝟬𝗽𝗺 𝗘𝗦𝗧 Community Q&A Share what you're struggling with then work through some strategies in real time to help you take the next small step forward. Come with a struggle and leave with advice or just come to listen. What's one thing you're struggling with this week? Drop it below and we can chat about it in the Q&A 👇

Ah I see it‘s today. Not sure yet if I can make it.
Truly managing your ADHD means focusing on the basics
Ever since I got my ADHD diagnosis 🧠 I've been obsessed when it comes to my physical and mental health 💪 and it has made all the difference in helping me manage my ADHD. It's the one area of your life you can truly control ✅, of course besides having to struggle with ADHD pulling in all directions 🌀 BUT it's where you will see and feel the most impact. It also creates a sense of empowerment and follow through 🙌, which is something we ADHDer's have struggled with our entire existence. In the end you won't be able to fully control when your mind decides to lose focus 🎯, but you can certainly take proactive steps to not only lessen them but also to help regain your focus when needed. My focus on nutrition 🥗 has led me to do extensive research on what's required to support my dopamine cycle and I've even gone so far as to get additional blood work 🩸 done to check additional micronutrients that were ignored in my yearly check up. I recently purchased this Quest Core Vitamin and Micronutrient Panel 🧪 and when I compare those results to my previous yearly checkup in May it's clear I'm doing pretty good across the board 📈. My vitamin D ☀️ also improved slightly which was due to my eating more salmon 🐟 and taking daily walks🚶outside in the sun . For the record low vitamin D can mimic ADHD when it comes to things like fatigue 😴, low energy 🔋, brain fog 🌫️, poor sleep quality 🛌. All of those symptoms have improved significantly for me over the past several months ⬆️. I'm also great to see that the other key micronutrients like Magnesium, Folate, Iron, Vitamin B6 are also in good standing ✅ as those are key to creating dopamine and norepinephrine ⚡

@Joe Keohan I did it in Virginia last year just as they got started. It doesn’t really matter where you get your blood done. The question is does Oura allow entering results you get from elsewhere and if it doesn’t, then it’s not useful anyway and it’s better to just store it all separately and have AI analyze it.
