Continuing on β€˜No Excuse November’ with lower legs and feet. It can feel a little repetitive when doing studies, but I promise that’s okay. Repetition is what helps solidify the structure and knowledge and helps you grow, so allow yourself the time you need to practice! @N. Colin Dyer yeah, though it's really hard to see the centre of mass before the figure is finished I tend to edit my figures' centre of mass to fix them I just got half lucky with these if Got any tips?

@Drake Oneil I agree, my aim right now isn't to find a style, but to understand what I'm drawing and to be able to do it from imagination Regarding the pelvis, I don't skip it, I use the origin of the legs to imply their position and imagine the rest. Later, I'll drop some gestures with the pelvic included to show your what I see The information the *position* of the pelvis brings is important, but the pelvic bone itself isn't as important to me That, and the factor of speed, is why I always skip drawing the pelvis itself, but I do always imply it's position so even if I haven't drawn it, I can still "see" it Michael is really good at gesture, I've been watching his videos for some time I completely agree regarding milage That's why I keep all my gestures to 60s or less My aim is to use the gestures to construct my figures onto, so spending a large amount of time on gesture would be inefficient Alr, thx for the advice

This mask method looks awesome! The only thing I'm struggling with is making both eyes look right. I know I should keep an eye on the corners lining up for the perspective, but maybe there are other tricks? Anyway, I think this method is going to work really well for me β€” I just need more practice! 😁

@Yevhen Syrchin Alright, I found this video on YouTube that goes over foreshortening legs so I hope that helps https://youtu.be/N9Uf3rgR4KY?feature=shared In Colin's tiktok, he also says to imagine the origin of the joint, (in this case the acetabulum, the femur-pelvis connection) If somehow gets easier to think about when you imagine that point as the vanishing point of the limb And when I do it, I realised I was drawing the outline of the leg rather than the volume so changing that mindset helped

In the case of someone wanting another perspective/approach, here is my take on proportions. Though this is a woman sheet, the only differences for males are: 1. Rib cage is rounder, more spherical 2. The pelvis of men aligns with the width of the ribs I take all other things to be subjective
