Seasonal depression who👀
Guys today was sunny and 70. I got up early took a long shower with no rushing, put on a cute spring outfit and even managed to knock out a couple of errands before work. Seasonal depression is now officially my bitch. I just wanted to share how immensely grateful for this beautiful day! I hope yours was even better! Love you 🖤 I would also love to see any pictures you took today or a meme🖤

I love this and I have def been feeling the effect of constant greyness and rain here in London. But... the daffodils are starting show of their sunny faces.

Laughter is the shortest distance between two people. - Victor Borge Laughter lifts our hearts and opens our spirits to one another, strengthening social bonds. Nothing feels quite as good as laughter when it wells up from deep down inside. In the past, maybe you distrusted laughter. Maybe it scared you, maybe you thought it was superficial or just a mask you wore - but now, understanding that laughter can be learned, you can feel empowered to embrace it. We know that laughter, like joy, food, or sleep, is essential to our well-being, and, like any new behaviour, it can be learned. First, we need to notice how we share with others. Are we sombre, unyielding, defensive? Or are we open, on the lookout for the best in whomever we may encounter? If social anxiety or discomfort blocks your laughter, start small-smile at yourself in the mirror or share a light joke with a trusted friend, to build confidence gradually. We don't have to be imprisoned by our past attitudes. Just as we have days when we wake up feeling grateful and glad to be alive, with practice we can choose to channel that gratitude and gladness into our encounters. Happiness and a positive attitude are contagious. The more we smile at the world, the more life seems to smile back. How can we be more open to smiling and laughing more? I challenge you to smile at a stranger today and observe their reaction, noticing what happens next. Much love Sunsisters

Are you present in the moment? #thankfulthursday
I used to dwell on past mistakes and fear the future. To the point that I was afraid to go to sleep, dreading tomorrow. Today is a very different story. I'm longing to go to bed so I can wake up to a new day that I've never seen before. That I can leave yesterday's baggage behind and start fresh. I had to work really hard to learn to be grateful for my mistakes because they have made me grow, and to practice kindness toward myself. I'm still working on not worrying too much about the future and practising just for today. Starting my day with gratitude makes me feel thankful for what I have in the moment. What do you do to anchor yourself in the present moment? Much love and Sunshine to all of you! ☀️

@Lara Pettit Love that! I write a list of 10 things that I am grateful for every morning and sending it to my Sponsor. I have 665 list of gratitudes to look back to make sure I never forget how far I have come and to see my spiritual growth. You are often part of my morning gratitude list!

@Lara Pettit Thanks, love! I'm almost 2 years clean and sober, and learning to start my day by focusing on what I am grateful for sets me up for the day!
