Do you know someone who lost their job in the Middle East this year?
Chances are, you do. This year has hit the region harder than most. I personally know people whose jobs ended with zero notice. One day working, the next day booking a flight home. Since then, people keep reaching out to me asking the same thing: "Now that this happened... how do I plan my finances?" Wrong question. Wrong timing. Financial planning only works when it happens before the crisis, not after. Here's the real purpose of investing: it's not about getting richer. It's about protection. Protecting yourself and your family when things go beyond your control. Something worth thinking about: A lot of people tell me the same story. Last time they visited home, family said, "Don't worry, we've got you if things go wrong." Comforting words. But that support was built while you had a job and a paycheck. Go back without either, and you may find the situation, and people's ability to help, isn't what it used to be. So here's the point: Start now. While you're still earning. Hopefully your job stays secure and the region stabilizes. But even in the best case, this is still the right time to build your savings and create a real cushion. That way, if you ever do have to return unexpectedly, you're standing on your own, not waiting on anyone else. Hope for the best. Plan for the worst. -Laeeq Ahmad (Linkedin) Follow Laeeq Ahmad on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/laeeqahmad/ Follow Laeeq Ahmad on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/laeeqtalks/

Absolutely right, you plan when you are financially strong so that when you come in crisis, you can manage your Most Important expenses like paying School/College fees, rent or mortgage, grocery.
Investments done through Roshan Digital Accounts
I would love to hear the feedback from Non-Resident Pakistani who have done Investments in either PSX, Mutual Funds, Savings Account, Islamic Naya Pakistan Certificate and others. Once you return back to Pakistan permanently, what will be the status of your investments??

AIRLINK (Air Link Communication Ltd.) is currently in a bullish recovery trend on PSX, driven by strong earnings, high smartphone demand, and improving margins. Price action shows upward momentum, high volumes, and active investor interest. You need to decide if you are looking like Investor for long-term or want to do trading to make quick gains. Based on your plan, you need to take action.

NATF (National Foods Ltd.) is showing a stable, mid‑range trend on PSX with moderate upward momentum, low volatility, and strong fundamentals. NATF is defensive stock meaning it delivers consistent performance with steady earnings, consistent dividends & low volatility. These fundamentals support a long‑term upward trend, even if short‑term price movement is flat.

This concept has been implemented in UAE since the COVID19 pandemic, I have done Investments and seen the result. Its great initiative taken and well supported by the Sarmaaya Team.
