Busy Week~ into Busy Weekends
Busy weeks into weekends hit a little differently~ Not everything gets done. And not everything needs to. Some weekends are for output~ events, work, showing up fully. Some are for tending what’s already in motion. And sometimes… it’s just about keeping things steady while life moves fast. Perennial Planning isn’t about forcing balance in every moment. It’s about recognizing what kind of weekend this is~ and meeting it there. And just as important~ Resting afterwards is part of the plan. Not a reward. Not an afterthought. A requirement. Because if you don’t build in recovery, you don’t actually have sustainability~ you just have momentum on borrowed energy. So if this weekend is full: Keep it simple. Protect your energy where you can. And make space to land when it’s over. That’s how you keep going 🌿 Where are you this weekend? Hustling and bustling or vibing and relaxing?

This weekend is definitely hustling and bustling! I’m going to take some moments to vibe and relax I hope
Weekend Time~
Weekends used to feel like a reset button. Now I see them a little differently... Not as something to fix the week…but as a quieter extension of it. Perennial Planning isn’t about cramming rest into two days because the week took everything out of you. It’s about noticing what actually has space to breathe right now and flow with you. Some weekends are for restoration. Some are for tending loose ends. Some are for quiet joy. Some are just… slower versions of everything you’ve already been carrying. And sometimes, nothing gets fully “reset” at all. It usually just means you’re in the middle of something that hasn’t finished unfolding yet. So instead of asking “How do I make this weekend productive or restorative enough?” Shift your mindset to~ “What actually has room to move right now?” Then meet it there~ gently, honestly, without forcing a season that isn’t ready. The garden doesn’t rush just because it’s Saturday~ 🌱

I needed this especially with a busy weekend ahead and understanding not everything needs to be crammed in
Weekend Reset/ Rest-Set 🌿
The week’s coming into view~ Before you move on to the next week, pause for a second~ not to review everything, just to notice a few honest things: What actually grabbed your attention this week? What quietly took more energy than expected? Where did your energy change? And what felt~ steady and stable? And maybe~ what’s starting to build momentum? Weekends aren’t always for resetting. Sometimes they’re for continuing~ just differently. A slower pace~ A softer grip~ A little more room to breathe between things~ Rest isn’t separate from progress. It’s what allows it to continue without strain. Rest is a huge part of what is needed to breathe and move through spaces and moments. And rest is essential for that to happen. Give yourself permission to carry what you need to over, and move what doesnt. Your life is yours to dictate and narrate~ Take what you've learned and use it to give yourself clarity for the next week. That’s what'll make next week easier~ Happy Friday~! ~Hansheng

My reset this week was taking a 5 hour nap on Wednesday. I think that cleared most of my brain fog and made me really relaxed! (I slept another 8 hours afterwards before work)

Probably cause of the amount of hours I wasn’t getting every night. Unfortunately, really need my rest to not feel exhaustion 😆
Monday evening check-in 🌙
The day is mostly done. Whatever moved today… moved. Whatever didn’t… didn’t. And that’s valuable information~! Perennial planning isn’t about forcing a strong start to the week. It’s about paying attention to what actually has energy behind it. Some things will open easily. Some will need more time. Some aren’t ready yet, no matter how much you want them to be. Instead of asking, “Did I do enough today?” Try asking: “What revealed itself today?” Because your week isn’t built in one push. It unfolds~day by day, signal by signal. Let tonight be a moment to notice, not judge. 🌿

Yesterday was a rough morning from work related issues that spilled in from Sunday night. I couldn't login into work and thought because of my absence I would be required to stay late. I was fortunate enough that my supervisor was kind and fixed it for me! Sunday was a general rest day but I regretted after everything that happened I may have wasted my time. After work Monday I realized I did need it even if I may need to be a bit busier last night or today.

Very true! I do feel it all ties into not stressing myself out but learning where my limits are
🌿 Working Wednesday
Midweek is where reality meets intention. Monday gives you momentum. Tuesday builds rhythm. But Wednesday? Wednesday tells you the truth. If you've over planned and are under capacity it starts showing. If you have the week planned out evenly and you're running smoothly, that's where you want to land. Not about what you planned~ but about what you actually have capacity for. If you are nailing this week and have the capacity, thats excellent~! But if you find yourself stressed and a bit hectic. Don't panic, instead of pushing harder today, try this: Pause for a moment and ask: What is working right now? What feels steady and grounding, even if it’s small? Because Perennial Planning isn’t about forcing the plan to succeed. It’s about noticing what’s already working and growing… and supporting that. You don’t need to fix everything today. You just need to tend to what’s alive. Find your center and move forth through it. 🌱Check-in: What’s one thing that’s quietly working this week that you can lean into a little more, and what isn't that you can shift and move elsewhere?

I’m finished most of what I want to do this week. Ended up having to omit editing a couple of things to save either for Sunday or my next day off. So far, everything I planned seems to be going well! Learning that it’s ohkay to push myself but if I need a break. Take the break and come back later
