Advice needed - being blocked at freekicks
I’m after a bit of advice from the group if possible. I’ve noticed this season, that my son who is 8 (also quite short for his age) gets deliberately blocked when facing free kicks. I’ve noticed this increase as a tactic from opposition coaches (and parents) where they will get at least one player to stand directly in front of him, stopping him from seeing the ball. Sometimes there’s also physical contact and the opposition players blocking him jumping up and down. Unfortunately, this has resulted in him conceding goals from free kicks when this has happened. My question is, have you come across this before and how do you suggest best to deal with it to give Cormac the best chance of seeing the ball so he can at least try to make saves. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks.

There are many ways but my ways won’t be suitable for a young goalkeeper 🤣 but he just has to be big and strong and get a little bit physical back with the player not of pushing normally does the trick because they get fed up and shout the ref and then he will move the player away
