Choosing peace over reaction
This week I experienced a meaningful breakthrough during a day out with friends. A friend of mine became upset about the choice of venue and directed her frustration towards me. Initially, I could feel myself being affected by her comments and I noticed old feelings beginning to arise. Rather than reacting or becoming caught up in the situation, I consciously stepped back internally and recalibrated. I took a moment to reconnect with myself, observe what was happening, and remind myself not to take on what wasn't mine to carry. Once I had centred myself again, I was able to rejoin the conversation feeling calm and unaffected. There was no need to defend myself, argue, or withdraw. I simply returned to the group and enjoyed the rest of the day. This felt like a genuine breakthrough for me. It showed me that while I may still be triggered at times, I now have the awareness and tools to recognise it, pause, and choose a different response. Instead of being swept away by someone else's emotions, I was able to return to my own inner balance and peace. Peace wasn't something I found after the situation changed. Peace came when I changed my response to the situation.

@Adrienne Donato I’m old enough now to realise I have no control over other people and their actions, and that’s ok. I’m so much more at peace living this way 🥰
Hi Soul Family
My name is Lydia and I'm from NSW, Australia. I've been on an on/off spiritual journey for well over 20 years and have a keen interest in personal growth, consciousness, meditation, self-awareness, and living from a more open-hearted place. Like many people, I've experienced my share of life's challenges, losses, and lessons, and I'm learning that growth isn't always about finding more answers, but about becoming more present and trusting life a little more. I love connecting with like-minded people, sharing experiences, and learning from different perspectives. At this stage of my journey, I'm focusing on staying open, curious, and embracing whatever life has to teach me. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and being part of the community.

@Adrienne Donato thank you for your kind words. I’m so happy to be here with like minded people, sharing our ups and downs. One of my favourite quotes is from Ram Dass “We’re all just walking each other home.” So beautiful and so true 💗
Weekend Intentions🌟
Hello family 💛 Happy Friday. The weekend is calling. What is one intention you are setting for the next two days. I'll go first. To rest fully and show up for myself without guilt. Your turn 👇

My intention is to listen to my body, rest if needed and not feel guilty.
Just a well seasoned Newbie.
Hello Friends, My name is Dale Basinger and I'm on a journey to figure out life, even at the age of 71. It seems everyone has a plan or program that they will sell you but I honestly am not going to spend money without first having some reasonable assurance that it is the right path to start on. I have a handicap, most of my life has been in and around "religion". I walked away from all that over 10 years ago and kinda floundered around just seeking truth ever since. I live with fear, doubt and serious skepticism. I really hope this venue will be a place of learning and growing. Thank you for inviting me in.

Hi Dale, Welcome, and might I say, we are never too old to figure out life. I'm 65 and still learning about life and myself. Enjoy your journey.
