Central Research Database
I’m experimenting with giving my AI coach a central research database. The main advantages are consistency and keeping skills manageable. Rather than every skill carrying loads of its own research and eventually becoming so bloated that it’s difficult to properly review, they all consult the same evidence base. It means Plan My Week, Build Training Block, nutrition, reviews etc are all singing from the same hymn sheet. The database covers things like concurrent training, tapering, strength maintenance, nutrition and recovery, with current research, citations, evidence strength, limitations and useful interpretation from leading coaches and practitioners. If the AI comes across something the database doesn’t cover properly, it flags the gap and I can deepen that area centrally. Hopefully it means the skills stay lean while the research base gets better and more useful over time.

Thanks Kevin! Yeah, it's just a set of notes in the vault, one per topic (tapering, strength maintenance, nutrition, etc), each with the research, how strong the evidence actually is, and what it means in plain terms. Skills point to those notes instead of holding their own version of the research, so everything stays consistent and I only have to update one place when something changes.

Can also build an 'enhance research base' skill which you run when you feel research is thin or you want to explore a new area. Allows you to put in research preferences e.g. meta-analyses, recent research as well as how you'd like it formatted.
Day 4
I'm on Day 4, and I have this pop up. What can I do?

Whenever I get stuck, I just print screen the error message back into Claude and that usually fixes it!
It's here! Intervals.ICU Complete Setup Guide!
Finally was able to get through everything and knock this out today. For those of your who don't know what Intervals.ICU is, it is a free platform (although I encourage you to donate the $4 to help them keep the site alive) that allows you to connect securely into most wearables, create structured workouts and send them back to your watch! For my Zwift people... this includes you too! The set-up is super easy and once you connect in, you can take your Athlete OS to the next level. I structured the prompt so all you need to do is paste it in and it will know that you already have an Athlete OS and guide you through appropriately: Check it out: https://www.skool.com/athlete-ai-community/classroom/c89bd042?md=a01cec8884184d50b63ade01d4cfd0f6 Pumped to see what people can do with this! Hi all, I’m a Coros user and trying to understand what this offers beyond just use Coros and Claude by itself? Any explanation would be helpful! I realise there’s a whole set up guide attached, but I’ve you’ve already got a fully functioning dashboard, then the prompt is slightly less helpful as you don’t want to undo or overwrite anything! It seems intervals.icu would allow me to send my workouts back to my Coros watch (very helpful…) - any benefits other than that?

@Kevin Rudd I’ve not used Garmin before, but been hugely impressed by Coros.
Gym plan tool
how do you handle the "logging mid-workout" problem? I built skill that generates gym plan for me. The one piece still bugging me is capturing data during the session, on my phone. My idea is to use a Google Sheet (one row per exercise: target vs. actual, RPE, notes), but typing into a spreadsheet between sets is clunky. Has anyone solved this better? Specifically interested in: - A logging app that's easy to use enough for between-set entry and still exports something Claude Code can read and later analyze - Voice notes you dictate mid-session and clean up later (optional) Not looking to rebuild the plan/review side, that part's working. Just want the fastest possible way to get RPE + notes off my phone and into something reviewable.

You can create workouts on Coros and then input reps etc. from your watch as you go through. Handy if you’ve already linked up Coros. Will be even better when Coros allow Claude to push workouts to Coros.
Weather-Synced Training Schedule
Had Claude wire live weather (Open-Meteo, free, no API key needed) straight into my training schedule. Hover over any of the next seven days and it shows rain chance plus the morning temp peak before 9am, so I know instantly whether to run early to beat the heat.

Thanks both, great questions. Open-Meteo turned out easier than I expected, no API key or signup needed, just a straight fetch from the browser that gets me the forecast and the hour by hour temps in one go. Kevin, I've already got hydration adjusting each day based on the forecast, but you're right, worth doing the same for pacing explicitly rather than leaving it just as a hydration call. Good shout. Ed, hard to say exactly what's going on without seeing your setup, but a couple of things worth checking. Set the timezone explicitly in the request, otherwise it comes back in UTC and your hour filtering ends up quietly wrong. And use the hourly numbers rather than the daily summary, the daily one smooths over the exact peaks you're usually trying to catch for something like this.
