Do you consider foul baiting a skill
Working with a lot of young players these days, I’ve noticed an increase in foul baiting. I understand where it comes from kids are watching the NBA and see players using it to their advantage at the highest level. However, it raises an important question: how do we teach young athletes the essence of the game while addressing behaviors like foul baiting?

As much as I dislike it sometimes I do believe it is a skill. Being able to add “foul baiting” to your arsenal adds a whole new level to your offensive game.
Do you agree?!?!?!?
I’m a big believer that kids should play multiple sports instead of specializing early. I know some people disagree and think they should focus on just one. What are your thoughts on this? And if you agree with multi-sport development, which sport do you think translates best to basketball?

I agree, I believe that football translates most to basketball. I feel like the concepts of being explosive and footwork both correlate to basketball and football.
How would you approach??
Everyone says to elevate your basketball knowledge you must watch film! I completely agree but I am curious what do you guys look for when watching film?

I like to watch film to break down each player’s game. I especially like to watch film where certain players didn’t have their best game. I like to analyze what they did wrong, not to criticize them but to help them learn and build off of it for the future.

My favorite player of all time is James Harden, one of the best guards to ever play the game.
