just got back to the house after finishing up my last training sessions on the water and i am completely wiped. usually coaching gives me a ton of good energy but today i was just totally out of it. i was overthinking my instructions, getting annoyed at the choppy water, and just felt completely out of sync with everything. i came home, sat out on the porch, and realized my internal radio was tuned to pure static. my mind was still buzzing from a stressful road trip issue over the weekend, a broken truck alternator i have to fix, and a bunch of random worries about the upcoming month. while i was sitting there looking at the trees i remembered that video here where pavel breaks down how our body actually responds to sound and frequency. he talked about how when our brains are overloaded we get stuck in this super fast, jagged frequency, and you literally can't force yourself to feel calm just by thinking about it. your biology is just vibrating at a totally different, frantic rate. he mentioned how using specific low-frequency tones can actually pull your brainwaves back down into a slower, steadier rhythm. it actually inspired me to try something different tonight instead of just cracking a beer or scrolling my phone. i stayed out on the porch, pulled up one of those low-frequency tracks on my speaker, closed my eyes, and just focused entirely on the heavy, deep vibration of the sound filling the space. there is still such a massive, frustrating gap between that grounded, easy flow and the frantic mental static i've been carrying all month. i didn't magically fix my truck or solve my week, but just consciously choosing to shift my focus to that slower frequency helped my chest loosen up. it is wild how much energy we waste trying to force things when we just need to drop the noise and tune back into a better channel.
