I joined the group about a week ago and wanted to properly introduce myself before sharing anything else. My name is Lorene, I live in Melbourne Australia and the work I do today grew directly out of my own lived experience, not from a business plan or a branding exercise. After nearly 30 years of marriage, I found myself having to start again from the ground up. At the time, there was very little language around narcissistic abuse, very little understanding of the impact it has on identity, confidence, and a woman’s sense of self. I went looking for answers because I needed them to survive, and what started as personal healing slowly became a calling. I realised two things fairly quickly: 1. So many women were going through similar experiences silently. 2. Our lived stories, when shared honestly, are often the very thing that gives others clarity, permission, and hope. That’s what led me into the work I do now, supporting women to recognise the patterns that shaped their lives and then consciously choose a different way forward. Right now, I’m leaning into visibility in a more intentional way, learning how to amplify my voice through platforms like podcasting, community spaces, and longer-form content, while staying true to the depth and integrity of the work. I’ve just recorded a short video about why I do what I do, and I’ll share that next. Not as a polished pitch, but as an honest story, because that’s where real connection starts. Looking forward to learning, connecting, and growing alongside you all here.
