[DAY 6] 🥝 I Help…
I help keyboard players learn more songs in less time by sharing a simplified framework that gets them understanding the juiciest pieces of the music. Definitely need some work on the olll’ “I help“ statement here, something loose but with more context and more money here: I help intermediate keyboard players play well enough to land gigs and be able to do this as a career. They want to be free to express themselves (soloing) and support groups / singers that inspire them (accompanying). I often go back and forth with whether or not I should lean into the money aspect..even when asked on the latest Skool games QnA Alex Hormozi was asked about how music is not one of the 3 main topics : wealth, relationship, health. But he said music has been desired, studied, valued for centuries to it still makes sense to sell music coaching on its own. Idk. What do you think, should I tie my I help statement to money? Like I help you get good enough at the keys to take on more paid gigs? Or a different route with play whatever song you like and make music with friends? Thanks!

Trying to figure out songwriting group [Offer]
Hey all! Great community here. I'm building a group for songwriters, mainly in popular music. I feel I have something to offer in this area and can help people improve their songwriting/ learn how to write songs but I don't know how to go about the offer part. Then the idea went to full-stack where we help with everything from songwriting, to music production and then to content and branding. Still it starts with songwriting. (songwriting is also where I could help people the most, if I had to pick one thing). I feel like this might be too broad, the idea was also to create a community where we all learn and support each other and keep each other accountable (consistency's important). I'm trying to figure out the best approach. any thoughts on this would be hugely appreciated

@Sarah Hankins That's a good point Sarah. I mean improved songwriting doesn't directly correlate to those things but it does help. I mean if someone amasses 500k followers mumbling atonal gibberish (which could actually be great, nothing against that- actually I'd love to hear it- If anyone reads this and makes it pls hmu) then they could get headhunted or signed by a major. Getting more gigs is same thing (more about your following, which doesn't necessarily correlate to songwriting skill). Getting clients could be different if they are writing songs for other people, then definitely a benefit for improving songwriting - but that's suuuuper niche and not really the audience I'm after and mainly i would have no idea about how to find them (although if I ever did then that could be a shout - haven't considered that - wouldn't have a clue how to find them. I think one of the main things is that songwriters like to write good songs, I think it makes them feel good. They get to show those songs to people, and their band (if in a band) and their band gets to play and jam to better songs. Most songwriters/ musicians don't really make money from it (although things could change with future social media) so I'm trying to speak to the songwriter who wants to improve their craft, and make a secret little hub for them to hone their craft with likeminded people. As I mentioned it's a lonely road. I do think that anyone joining the course and staying with the community could see a huge increase in number of songs written per month and quality of songs written, with guidance. I know that was long.. big love if you made it this far

also songwriting is like fishing. It's like every song ever written, ever could be and will be written already exists. I don't believe songwriters write anything. We don't make the fish we just catch the fish that are already there. You know what I mean? It's more like a fishing group

What I'm using for The LEADS
I'm mostly using Skool at the moment for organic growth in my skool communities. I spent a bunch of money on ads and attracted the wrong type of avatar so lesson learned. I like organic a lot more because I get to build relationships and have conversations with people beforehand, and know whether or not I can actually help them (which is awesome). Other than that, I have a Youtube channel I've been neglecting a ton. I want to be more consistent with it but setting it up and writing scripts etc is SOOO HARRRDDDDD https://www.youtube.com/@hereswhatIdid My plan now is to spend as much time as possible writing for Skool posts and transferring those posts into video content so I can post both at the same time and get double the audience (Alex says that audiences are almost completely even on this: 25% like watching videos, 25% like reading a physical book, 25% like reading an e-book, and 25% like smelling... I mean listening to an audiobook. I'm not publishing a book here but I still think it applies). So yeah... that's where I'm at

@Sarah Hankins that's a great point. fwiw, for me the 20% conversion rate would be more appealing.

I'm here to start a community for songwriters to start writing 'hit' songs more consistently.
