Going through this training has been such a great experience, and it’s confirmed for me that recruiting is something I’m really excited about stepping into. For most of my life I’ve been in roles that involve working with people, whether in sales, leadership, or mentoring. What I’ve always loved most is helping people see what’s possible for themselves and encouraging them to take the next step toward the life or career they want. Recruiting feels like a natural extension of that. Scenario B: You’re a week out from their start date. You check in and they say, “Honestly, I’m getting nervous — I’ve never done upscale dining before.” Hey, I really appreciate you being honest with me about that. It’s completely normal to feel a little nervous stepping into something new, especially moving from fast casual into an upscale full-service concept. The reason the team at Trattoria Reggiano is excited about you isn’t because you’ve already done that exact environment, it’s because of your leadership style, your energy with people, and how you run a team. Those skills translate anywhere. They wouldn’t have extended the offer if they didn’t feel confident you could succeed there. And remember, you’re not expected to walk in day one knowing everything, they’ll train you on their systems and standards. Honestly, this is exactly the type of step that helps people grow their career. I really think once you get in there and start working with the team, you’re going to feel right at home.

Hey Alex, I wanted to give you a quick call because I had a really positive conversation with the team at Fifth Avenue Restaurant Group after your final interview for the Assistant General Manager role at Trattoria Reggiano in Las Vegas. They had great things to say about you, they specifically loved your energy, your people skills, and the QSR leadership experience you bring. The interview went really well and they’re feeling confident about you for the role. Before they finalize anything, I just wanted to make sure we’re aligned. When we first spoke, you mentioned you were hoping to be around $70K. From my conversation with them, it sounds like the base they’re leaning toward is around $67K plus bonus, which would also be a nice step up from the $62K you’re currently making.
