OH WOW!!!
Can I just say that I LOVE your new cover photo!! So cute and fun and I didn't realize you'd switched things up here but I'm SUPER excited about this focus for the community!!

@Faith Adebayo weeeellll.... I honestly don't see anything wrong about having a community about community building! There's a HUGE learning curve here on Skool and like you say, there are eck versions of wannabe helpful communities about community building but they actually suck. I can't see you ever sucking at this. Cause you care too much. You're too conscientious. And you've been here long enough to be over (or as close to over as possible as the platform continues to be updated!!) the learning hump! I have a hunch good things are coming and I'm here for it!!

@Faith Adebayo Very Cool!!! Looking forward to all the upgrades!
🔬 RESEARCH... This post will be deleted soon.
Would you participate in a live group coaching session where one community owner receives direct coaching while everyone else learns by watching and participating? 🐟 Think "fishbowl coaching." If you chose anything except "Not interested"... What topic would you most want covered? 👇 Comment below. PS... not interested is still data and I appreciate your feedback... genuinely.

@Faith Adebayo I have a business coach that I have worked with in a group setting for nearly 2.5 years now. Watching other people get coached has helped me as I think about my own coaching skills but what others are being coached on is rarely helpful. Right now there is one other member who is doing something similar to what I do and it has been helpful to be in calls with her because what she needs is similar to what I need, but often the people who come in are in vastly different stages of business with vastly different needs and I kind of zone out while they are being coached and then ask my question(s), get my coaching and leave when I'm good to go. So for me, I'm already being served this way and know that I don't want more group coaching - at some point I'll level up for 1:1 and never look back :)

@Faith Adebayo yep - been there, done that on both ends of that! I remember how much time I took when I started with my coach and I was very grateful for her attention and tough love, but have kind of felt bad for the other ladies that were being coached as I came out of that time and recognized myself in new coachees... my coach is awesome and I needed that tough love, but it's challenging to sit through that when you're not the one needing that special attention!
I PROMISE... I'm not calling it an audit anymore!
I'm gonna admit something... I HATE asking for help. And after 20 years of teaching, being the one who knows and being the "I got it girl" most of my life makes it even more difficult. So I was calling this service for support I am offering an "audit". If you're like me, that feels like the IRS are pounding down your door or Roz from Monsters Inc is about to make her zoom appearance. So what it really is... I walk into community spaces and take a look around. I use these spidey senses to recognize patterns, see the energy and the notice things. I notice when I lean in. I notice areas where I feel safe and some where I start to lean right back out. It's not intentional. Honestly, I just don't know if we think about this when it's our baby. We're so focused on building a beautiful space and creating courses where our members will grow from our wisdom on a topic. We're excited to serve. We build these spaces with good intentions. We create welcome posts, Start Here sections, community guidelines… all because we genuinely want people to feel supported and know how to participate. But sometimes when it’s our own space, we can’t feel what a new person feels walking in for the first time. It's a kind look but the word audit feels like someone's about to walk through your space and rip it to shreds. NEVER!! NEVER my goal! Never going to be the way I show up. But I really am doing an energy audit. What posts make it easy to join in the conversation? What posts make me wonder if I fit in this space? Are these my people? Those are real questions your members are asking. But they'll probably never say that out loud because we're human and safety is our nervous system's top priority!! But I also know this reflection is really important to adjust your community so members can see them self inside the conversations. I've already talked to Chat, Claude and Plexi about this. I would rather talk to the humans who would receive this feedback. What would you call this? What would resonate in a "she gets me" way?
I PROMISE... I'm not calling it an audit anymore!

@Keith Berg for sure! And I had no idea we had that many groups in common!! Wow!
Naked 🔥
My profile hasn't been this naked in a long time. I thought i had gotten my activities in Sunday night just like every other night. I missed my activities by 2. SAD FACE! I was ON the platform all day but clearly too many DMs, not enough likes, posts, polls, and comments. So here's to my next 28 days getting my fire back. How do you feel about the flame and other emojis behind your name on the platform? Do you know what each one means?

Awe, that sucks. I love my flame. And I loved having the star…. Would love to get it again!
Skool Affiliate Updates
A few things I learned about Skool affiliates this week..... The dashboard will adjust the order with the order of communities in your settings menu. After multiple messages back and forth with support (some of the best support I've ever seen with a platform like this), it has become apparent that a LOT of work needs to be done to the backend of the platform for better transparency and accountability on this program. That's all I'll say at this moment. Consider this a change log. When I get updates, I'll update this.

@Faith Adebayo from what I understand, they are insisting that we just need to record money that hits our bank accounts and not worry about anything else because it's all on them as it flows through them... I still need to talk with my accountant, but am thinking that I have so little bookkeeping this year, I'll just talk to them when I take my finished books in.

@Faith Adebayo hmmm… I have two members who have recommended my community and are getting affiliate income. I get people referred all the time. Why not just promote and take what you get :) Let the stress go and enjoy what comes without worrying about missing out. If you do miss out, you won’t realize it and the income you do make will be a blessing!
