A Lesson from Taylor Swift
This morning, as I was starting my day, I was watching Taylor Swift's recent interview for the New York Times. In it she shares how her fans do not want to see her responses to trolls on the internet. In her summation of her fan's thoughts, "We want your art". And I couldn't help thinking of how that applies to all of us in this community. Your fans and followers and eventually customers (given enough time) do not want to see your party pics from the weekend. They do not want to see you rip apart a troll. They want to see your art, your expertise, your wisdom, your calm in the storm, the calm (or passion or purpose or whatever you preach) that they want to have which is why they follow you. The easiest way - THINK OF EVERYTHING YOU POST ON SOCIAL MEDIA as a representation of you and your company. Are there some things you should go delete? Keep it real but don't shoot yourself in the foot. Food for thought ...

Every time you post, you have an opportunity to showcase your area of genius for someone who needs your guidance to solve the problem that wakes him up at 3 AM. Don’t ever squander that. Love this post, Sandi! Taylor Swift has a lot of wisdom, and her songs are good too!
Let's talk ... Calendly
Good morning all! Hoping to hear your thoughts on Calendly. I love the promise of the program and when it works, its great. But there are times it tries to book appointments when I am unavailable. Is there another option, another app that does the same thing? @Kevin Marius @Jerry Fletcher what do you two use? Thanks to anyone who offers feedback! Appreciated.

I just signed up for Cal.com. I have been fighting against a calendar link. It is free and works great!

@Sandi Boucher totally agree with you! I had Calinley for a few months and I canceled because it would double book me and didn’t sync up with my calendar. I have had no issues with Cal.. and they do have a paid version but the free version seems to work great.
Walking my Talk (with PURE Dedication!)
I am awake, I am alive, and today, I am so freakin proud of me ... even as I know most people would find me very weird. To explain, I live in a 4-bedroom house and I work from home so up until recently (read - yesterday) the following was my reality: - The area most would use as the eating area off the kitchen - that's my tv room. Amazing as my HUGE tv is easily watched from the kitchen as well as from my recliners. - The area most would use as a sunporch is my much loved office. - The area most would use as a living room was my boardroom with filing cabinets and my huge much-loved boardroom table. - The smallest "bedroom" off the kitchen was my home gym. - Basement bedroom - a collection of clutter (gotta fix that). - Upstairs bedrooms - one is my actual bedroom. The other my dressing room (with closets and makeup table). It worked for me ... almost ... except for the tiny gym that did not encourage me to workout. Just felt too claustrophobic. SO AS OF TODAY ... Everything stays the same except the area that most would use for a living room will now be my BIG AMAZINGLY BRIGHT GYM and the small room off the kitchen (where office supplies have always been stored in the closet) will now house the big table to allow for easy seminar prep. Why do I share all this? NOT to justify my decisions, thats for sure. I share to remind you that "When a flower doesn't bloom, you fix the environment in which it grows, not the flower." I want to be healthier. The big sectional couch I used to own didn't support that. A tiny claustrophobic gym doesn't support that. My bright office I love TOTALLY supports my work and now, my great new gym will so support my health. FOR THE WIN! I am happy. And watch how healthy I get!! YES!!! This is me, walking my talk. Love you! HUGSSSSSSS Sandi

If you want to change your habits, you have to set up your environment to support it. Otherwise, it will stop the habit from forming. Love this! And love how you’ve set up your house to work for you.
Use Your Book!
So many new and not-so-new authors have books and that is an amazing step to take but ... now often do you use your book to inspire new customers? Imagine the following: - Sharing a couple sentences on your social media once a week with a link for them to purchase. - Shoot a YouTube short or video talking about a specific passage. Include the link in the description and mention it in the video. - Create a webinar highlighting the lessons from one chapter. Don't forget to tell them how to get the book! Bring your BOOK TO LIFE and watch not only your sales but your bookings. Like with a website, creating a book is only the first step. Now help it to fly!! Love ya! Sandi

We always say the book is the starting line not the finish line. The book has so much more to give you - so bring that book to life!
Hello my Friend ...
I write this from my office, my home office, something I am incredibly thankful for on a -26C morning in northern Ontario, Canada. I entered not out of obligation, there are no deadlines or pressing matters requiring my attendance here. Rather I entered quietly, like one does when they are having coffee with an old friend they haven't seen in ages. I smiled at the familiar, took pleasure from recent tweaks, and as I rebooted my computer, I gave thanks for this home, this office, the opportunity to work from home and most of all, the opportunity to make a living and a life doing what I love. So, on this day, the first of many that 2026 will offer, I give thanks that once again, I am exactly where I want to be - sitting at this desk, writing a note to someone I care about even if we have never met. Happy New Year, my friend. Happy New Year. Love Sandi

The scenery from your office window looks amazing with a stillness that brings calm. May the new year bring prosperity, hope, and joy to all of us.
