I’m always looking for different ideas for breakfast and snacks (meals in genera). So I thought I would share my favourite breakfast. It’s so good it could even be classified as a dessert. Oikos 0% Greek yogurt, sliced strawberries, and bird & Co. PB and chocolate granola And 2 hardboiled eggs

The Myth Of Balance
One of the most common pieces of advice we hear is that we need more balance. But what if balance isn't actually the goal? When we look at the life of Jesus, we don't see someone living every day exactly the same. Some days He spent hours teaching, healing, traveling, and serving others. Other times, He withdrew to lonely places to pray. He told His disciples to come away and rest. He honored the Sabbath and made space for renewal. Jesus lived with rhythm. And maybe that's what we're missing. Many of us try to create lives where every day looks equally productive, equally restful, equally busy, and equally peaceful. But real life doesn't work that way. Some days require a heavy mental, emotional, or physical load. There are deadlines, appointments, responsibilities, and people who need us. But not every day can be lived at that pace. If we constantly push without creating margin, we eventually become exhausted, overwhelmed, and disconnected from God and the people around us. That's why God established the principle of rest. Rest isn't laziness. Rest is stewardship. It's trusting God enough to stop. As we move into summer, it's easy for our calendars to become packed with activities, vacations, sports, gatherings, and commitments. Before long, a season that was supposed to feel refreshing can leave us feeling depleted. A Simple Summer doesn't happen by accident. It requires intentionality. It requires boundaries. It requires asking: ✨ What do I actually need to do this summer? ✨ What can I say no to? ✨ What would help my family feel rested and connected? ✨ What would a biblical summer look like for us? Instead of trying to create a perfectly balanced summer, focus on creating a summer with healthy rhythms of work, play, connection, and rest. Because sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is slow down enough to receive the gift of rest that God has already given you. Simple isn't something you find. Simple is something you choose. Let me know in the comments, what a Simple Summer means to you this year!

A simple summer means not planning something every day. Doing one task that is important each day, whatever that looks like , and spending the rest of the time praying and listening to what he’s telling me to do.

While On the coaching call tonight I felt very pulled to find a verse that spoke to me regarding our theme “a simple summer” I’m sure I’m not alone that after a very hectic school year I am in need of rest.

Take a Minin Digital Sabbath
Choose ONE 3-hour block this weekend for a mini “digital Sabbath.” During that time: - no social media - no unnecessary scrolling - no multitasking entertainment Instead: - rest - connect with family - go outside - journal - pray - cook slowly - stretch - read - organize your space - reflect Notice what emotions surfaced when you disconnected from constant stimulation. Stillness can feel uncomfortable when we’ve become used to constant noise. Measurable Goal Before Monday: Complete one uninterrupted 3-hour low-screen block before Monday. Bonus points for pictures of what you decide to focus on!!
