Mulch or Living Mulch?
Pretty interesting and I agree. There a are good, better, and best practices. Doing something is better than nothing. What are you willing to do? https://www.outdoorguide.com/1797096/prevent-grass-grow-flower-beds-ground-cover-instead-mulch/

Phosphorous Solbilizing Bacteria
Hey, Dennis, got any opinion on Mammoth P and phosphorous solubilizing bacteria? ( Mammoth P seems to be the only product available domestically. Mostly, the products are in India)

No, just found it locally.
Is anybody planting any cover crops this year?
Cover crops are a big part of my RegenerativeAg System I use on my farmstead. Has anybody else incorporated these into their cultivation practices?

James, I am in zone 8a. So far I have been using them during the season and using shredded leaves for cover in winter. (The closest the South gets to a "Mollisol effect".)
Do you buy seeds or grow them?
Looks like seed prices have gone up??? Maybe. I haven't really been looking but I always let one plant go to seed and harvest for next season. What do you do? https://lifehacker.com/home/costs-growing-garden-seedlings

Of course, there is the other issue with saving seed.... way more seed than you will ever need! I am TERRIBLE with this! I am perpetually trying to give seed away. Right now it is marigold, loofah, and leraka gourd that I am overloaded with.

@Dennis Wichter , do you feel a seed saving post is appropriate?
Are you doing this?
Are you a coffee drinker? I am not, but my wife is and I know many others are. I mean my grandparents drank it in the morning and in the afternoon. If you are then what do you do with your spent grounds? Do you put them in the garden? https://www.express.co.uk/life-style/garden/2009056/gardeners-urged-sprinkle-coffee-garden-february

My thoughts. I drink tea rather than coffee but sometimes I get coffee grounds at Starbucks.... 1. Moderation is important, like with most amendments. 2. NEVER, and I mean NEVER use unbrewed grounds. Yes I did that. Once. The tomatoes somehow survived but oh boy. ( long story) 3. I usually mix grounds in a planting hole where I am transplanting. I have also added them to compost piles. Be careful with the rotating ones though....just saying.

Sorry. I hit a wejrd setting for a second. Grounds are a much better amendment in an alkaline context where the acidity is helpful. Here in Alabama, I really haven't used them much. They do have a strong and qell-deserved reputation for claybusting along Colorado's Front Range.

Longtime organic gardener but new to gardening in the East. Looking to get back into vermicomposting. Might be able to help gardeners out West.
