Day 2 - Blood Sugar Stability
Todays Focus: Meal Structure Tasks: • Eat protein at your first meal (minimum 30g target) • Avoid grazing — eat defined meals • Take a 10-minute walk after one meal • Avoid high-sugar snacks in isolation Why this matters: Stable glucose reduces cortisol spikes and energy crashes. Reflection prompt: Did you notice fewer cravings or energy dips? A lot of times, the basics are not that basic.

@Marama Rawenata That sounds like it would be quite a bit of sugar. Did you have something going on that caused you to want to indulge? Or did you just have a sweet tooth?
Day 3 – Hydration & Minerals
Focus: Fluid Regulation As far as basic needs of the body, water is second only to air. Ensuring we get enough in terms of hydration is crucial. Considering a human is approximately 70% water, it is huge. Tasks: • Drink water within 15 minutes of waking • Add mineral support (quality salt or electrolyte blend) • Avoid caffeine before hydration • Observe urine color as feedback Why this matters: Electrolyte balance affects blood pressure, cognitive clarity, and fatigue perception. Reflection prompt: Did hydration change your afternoon energy?

🌿 Day 7 — Integration
In order to fully integrate what we have done over the last week. We must look at the Evidence of Self-Trust. Seven days ago, you chose small. You committed to taking one action that you would perform daily. Now reflect: • Did I show up more often than before? • What changed internally? • What surprised me? • What would happen if I continued 23 more days? Share one insight from this week. Remember: This was never about perfection. It was about rhythm.

@Laila Belabbas it apparently wasn’t sure it would actually work out. Kudos to you for implementing it anyway. And superb that it had led to the experience you had thought it would!!

@Laila Belabbas I completely get it. I will always applaud people who push the boundaries and try new approaches. It is the icing on the cake when it leads to a positive experience as well!
7-Day Foundation Reset Challenge
In my workshop this week inside of Functional Living Academy, I covered Personal Functional Foundations. In the workshop I break down exactly what a functional foundation is, the 6 pillars of functional foundation, why most people skip this step, provide the framework for a simple self-assessment. And then talk you through how to start creating your Foundation. This is the challenge I have created to help reinforce the information I taught, as well as to help you Implement a life changing method. The focus of the challenge is to: Stabilize. Simplify. Strengthen. How This Challenge Works For 7 days, participants will: • Focus on foundational inputs only • Eliminate unnecessary complexity • Track simple physiological markers • Build repeatable patterns No optimization No new supplements No drastic restrictions. Just foundations. Before You Begin (Preparation Step) record: Sleep time (average) Wake time (average) Energy rating (1–10) Mood rating (1–10) Resting heart rate (if available) Waist measurement (optional) This creates baseline awareness. Day 1 – Circadian Anchor Focus is Light & Timing Tasks: • Get natural light within 10 minutes of waking • Go outside at least twice during daylight • Set a consistent sleep window for the week • Reduce artificial light 60 minutes before bed Why this matters: Light timing regulates cortisol rhythm and melatonin production. Reflection: Did your energy feel more predictable today?

🌿 Day 6 — Identity Shift
As we progress, it is important to intentionally create an intention for the changes we are implementing. To do this, we ask ourselves. Who Am I Becoming? Consistency isn’t just about the action. It's also about identity. In order to work with this new identity. Complete this sentence: “I am someone who…” Naming the intention matters. Keep it simple. Let repetition shape identity.
