Trust Is the Final Step
Guidance can point the way, but it can’t walk it for us. Do what is yours to do. Then step back. Let God, the universe, the ancestors, and time carry the rest. Where in your life are you being asked to act without knowing the outcome?
Trust Is the Final Step
@Teju Rice Wow amazing
Trusting the Season You’re In
Our ancestors planted seeds not knowing when the rains would come. Faith. Discipline. Patience. Those are the true ingredients of success. How committed are you to nurturing the life you want? Will you keep showing up every day — until the harvest comes? Commit again today. Where in your life are you being asked to keep showing up without any immediate proof that it’s working? What daily practice would look different if you truly trusted that the harvest is inevitable—even if delayed?
Trusting the Season You’re In
I am committed but having moments of weakness. I commit to showing up every day for me and my son.
We Are All Visitors Here—So How Will You Live?
We are all visitors to this earth. That’s something my Yoruba friend Ade often says. My mom taught me the same truth in a different way. She said: We’re not here to turn into stone. We’re here to move, to grow, to shed what no longer matters. To use our time wisely. To let go of what hardens us—old fears, grudges, distractions, identities that no longer fit. Our spiritual journey doesn’t end here. At some point, we’ll be invited to explore other dimensions, other realities. Led by the ancestors, by wisdom older than us, by something that knows the way. So, here’s the reflection I want to offer this space: If you truly saw yourself as a visitor here… - What would you stop holding onto? - What would you take more seriously? - How would you move differently this season of your life. 👇 Drop your reflection below: Finish this sentence in the comments: "If I’m only a visitor here, I want to leave behind ______ and live more fully by ______.” Let’s reflect together.
We Are All Visitors Here—So How Will You Live?

How Is Life Testing You—and Who Are You Becoming?
When Spirit Tests You, It’s Because You’re Growing Several months ago, I wrote a blog post about the late African shaman Malidoma Somé. His work has stayed with me because it reminds us of something we often forget on the spiritual path: 👉 We will be tested. And yet, when those tests show up, we’re surprised. We wonder what we did wrong, or whether we’ve lost our way. But being tested isn’t a mistake—it’s part of the process. It’s how growth happens. In Of Water and the Spirit, Malidoma shows us that initiation, challenge, and discomfort aren’t obstacles to spirituality—they are the path. Tests reveal what we’ve truly integrated, not just what we believe or talk about. Often, when Spirit is preparing us for something bigger, life asks more of us: - More patience - More integrity - More trust - More courage - So, I want to open this up for reflection and conversation: Where do you feel life or Spirit is testing you right now? And how might that test be shaping you—strengthening you, refining you, or bringing you into deeper alignment? There’s no right or wrong answer here. Feel free to share. Sometimes naming the test helps us see the growth already happening. 🌱
How Is Life Testing You—and Who Are You Becoming?
My sense of safety is being tested.
✨ Special shout-out to Lia ✨
Lia is one of the very first founders of the King’s Circle, and I couldn’t be more proud of her. She’s a counselor, a mom, and she recently completed her training as a certified doula 👏 She’s shared that she joined The King’s Circle for spiritual support, community, empowerment, and to stay grounded—and she embodies all of that in how she shows up. I admire her resolve to follow her vision with courage and intention, even while carrying so many meaningful roles. I’m truly honored that she’s with us, helping build and shape this circle from the very beginning. This photo was taken at her doula certification, where she also happened to meet a friend of mine, Syd—another reminder that when you’re aligned, the right people keep crossing your path. So proud of you, Lia 💛
