Whats your Hardiness zone?
People are often confused on what thier regions hardiness zone actually is. Here's a link to the USDA sites hardiness zone map. You just put in your location, and it will tell you what it is. This is important to know for knowing what plants are hardy in your area, how long plants will grow, and also to know if it changes at all. Like ours used to be 3, but they have moved to to 4 now, which doesnt seem like much, but it can be depending on your area. Share with us what your zone is! https://planthardiness.ars.usda.gov/pages/map-downloads

🌿 Peppermint Oil 🌿 As the temperatures cool and the daylight shortens, it’s time to start preparing your plants to come back indoors. One of the best natural helpers for this transition is #peppermint essential oil! ✨ Here’s a quick DIY pest spray: 🧴 Fill a spray bottle with water 🫧 Add a few drops of Dawn or Dr. Bronner’s soap 🌱 Add a couple drops of peppermint #essentialoil 🔄 Shake it up and spray! This blend helps keep away unwanted visitors like: 🕷️ Spiders, Mealy, Aphids, spider mites 🐜 Ants 🐝 Hornets 🐭 Even mice! It’s a gentle, effective way to protect your plants (and your home) from pests before bringing them inside. And it's safe to use on your outdoor edibles too! What tips do you have that helps with pests? Indoor or outdoor tips and tricks! Share with us all the nuggets!

Thank you for this tip! I have started thinking about how im going to get all my babies inside without the little guests. Will this trick get rid of guests already in the plants? One of my coleus has lots of ants in the soil. Idk what to do about them.

Hi!!! So excited to be here! Im fairly new to growing potted plants. I've had a hand me down pothos for several years now and have been adding more variety to grow inside and outside. I just brought 2 of each if these clearance babies home this week. Lemon grass, coleus, and petunias! Ive become obsessed quickly 🤣 Really interested in fall planting seeds and overwintering my plants and ready to learn all the things!
