🌧️ TUESDAY CHECK-IN — SLOW IT DOWN TODAY
It’s a rainy day out there, so today’s challenge is a little different. We spend so much time focusing on workouts, steps, food, work, family and everything else we need to get done. Today, I want you to deliberately take a little quiet time for yourself. 📖 Read 💭 Reflect 🧘 Meditate 🤸 Stretch 🌬️ Breathe It doesn’t have to be an hour. Even 10–20 minutes where you put the phone down, shut everything else out and slow your mind down counts. Your physical health matters, but so does taking a few minutes to reset mentally. TODAY’S CHALLENGE: Do at least ONE of the things above and tell us what you did! 👇 COPY & PASTE YOUR TUESDAY CHECK-IN: 👣 How many steps did you get today? 💧 How much water did you drink? Estimate if needed. 💪 What body part did you exercise today? 🥩 Did you reach your protein goal? 🔥 Were you in a caloric deficit? ⚡ How was your energy level today? 🧠 What did you do today to take some quiet time for yourself? 🎯 What can you improve on tomorrow? Rainy days don’t have to be wasted days. Move your body, fuel it properly, and give your mind a chance to slow down too. Let’s hear those check-ins! 👇

Oh, I’m one of the “know who you are people!” 16k steps Monday, 11k Tuesday. Will be lucky to hit 5k today due to yesterday’s covid vaccine. 24 hour butt kicker and then I’m fine. Worked 6 hours today and bailed. Reading Culpability and being a couch potato.Yes, Iowa’s monsoon season continues. Managed to mow the yard between showers yesterday morning.
☀️ THURSDAY MORNING CHECK-IN!
Good morning everyone! We’re getting close to the end of another week, so I want to hear from ALL of you today! 🙌 How is your week going so far? How are you feeling? Energy good? Sore? Tired? Feeling strong? Nutrition on track? Struggling a little? Whatever it is — check in and let us know. 👇 🍽️ AND LET’S SHARE SOME FOOD IDEAS! I want everyone to share one of your favourite healthy meals or recipes in the comments. You don’t have to type out the entire recipe — just tell us what you love making! Maybe it’s a high-protein breakfast, an easy supper, something you meal prep every week, or a healthier version of a comfort food. Sometimes the hardest part of eating better is simply figuring out what the heck to make! 😂 Let’s fill the comments with ideas so everyone can steal a few meals from each other. Two things today: 💪 Tell us how your week is going. 🍳 Share one of your favourite healthy meal ideas. Let’s hear them! 👇👇

I just enjoyed a green salad with cucumber and a tuna pouch. A sweet potato on the side. Ran 3 miles yesterday and I am feeling it today. A workout tonight perhaps with bands.
Another over-share 😎
My sister would have been 40 today. She passed away on March 7, 2015, and for whatever reason, I made the “mistake” today of going back and looking through her Facebook. That hit me a lot harder than I expected. I’ve always thought I handled her birthday and the anniversary of her passing pretty well over the years. But today made me wonder if maybe I didn’t handle it as well as I thought. Maybe I just got really good at blocking out some of the feelings and carrying on. Seeing her pictures, reading old posts, seeing her name and little pieces of a life that feels both so long ago and like yesterday brought a lot of it back. Grief is strange like that. You can go months or years feeling like you’re okay, and then something small opens a door you thought you had closed. A picture. A song. A birthday. A memory. And suddenly the sadness is right there again. But I also think that’s part of loving someone and losing them. You don’t necessarily “get over” it. You just learn how to carry it while continuing to live your life. There are going to be hard days. There are going to be moments when sadness wins for a little while. And I think it’s okay to let yourself feel those moments instead of always trying to push them away. Then you keep going. You work. You laugh. You raise your family. You build things. You make memories. You appreciate the people who are still here. And you carry a little piece of the people you’ve lost with you through all of it. Life keeps moving, and somehow we find a way to move with it. Happy 40th birthday, sis. Wish you were here. ❤️

A very touching tribute, Aaron. You shared your vulnerability with a trusted circle and I those who learn and contribute here will think even more highly of you than before. Life consists of gain and loss. Treasure all of it. It goes by quickly.
