Property auction advise if possible.
Looking into buying this at auction. Guide price of £165k. I needs approx £80-100k spending on in. New roof etc, move stairs, knock walls through install beams. Think this would go for a lot more. £250-300k. I have 25k deposit. Would need the rest as mortgage. Can be split into 2-3. 2-3 bedroom flat upstairs. 1 or two shops downstairs. Many Thanks Lee

My repayments could be anything from £800-£1500 a month obviously depending what it sells for. Then I have to cover the work. Which would be done in stages, as and when I can afford it. A loan to cover work costs is not covered in the mortgage to buy costs. I can do the rip outs and I have contacts in trade, but still not cheap.

Hi, thanks for messaging back. This would be my first time at anything property except buying my home/s. It's £165 auction guide, so guessing this could go for anything from 165 to 250k +. It's down as a residential as it has been previously with flat about and shops downstairs. It's been a dentist for as long as I can remember. I would use a storage for our shop and online delivery partially. But would renovate as I went along. Rip out a re do. Could be worth 450k when done or rent out flat above and shops X2. I've got nothing in place yet like a mortgage in principle. Cheers
General Newbie
Just joined the Asset's For Life group for the intention of learning how to invest in property for retirement reasons. My partner has a home interiors business that is doing well after only being open for two years. Me..well I'm just a railway engineer that needs to do something ideally in property for retirement and also an income stream. I've always been very cautious with financial risk and money. And that is mainly the reason why I haven't done anything yet. At 50 🤬. I'm also very sceptical about finding groups, like this on social media. Without offending there are loads of scams out there. Thoughts advise appreciated. Cheers Lee

Nothing fun and exciting about me. Just a railway overhead line engineer looking to get into property for retirement reasons. Need more cash though?
