A ROAD TRIP & A LINO PRINT!
A most wonderful day! A special friend came to visit for the weekend so today I took her on a trip further South. Thrift shopping in towns along the way to our lunch destination at a cute "Retro Cafe" but the highlight was an evening of creativity! I've been wanting to try my hand at Lino printing again and it did not disappoint...and of course the perfect choice was this "farmyard friend". Have you tried Lino printing?

That is a very cool. It reminds me of doing Ukrainian Easter eggs only that is layered, but you start from the lightest colour and work up to your darkest color. So that when you’re done, your whole egg is covered with wax and then as you remove the wax, your pattern and design miraculously appear. It is so amazing to watch.

Love your final product. Turned out beautiful. I would love to be on a little trip with my good friend and then have a night of creativity that would be awesome. I just had a weekend with my friend, but she’s not very creative so we just visited lots and lots and that was great fun too.

@Stephanie Kara If you have the fire going already have a wiener roast too. That is always a lovely way to spend an hour or two Plus you get lunch to go with your tea.

I need to know: Create or Creative Community: A quick poll
I'm doing a bit of research today to help me decide how to move forward with this space. I know some are here just to share creativity and that is perfect but it some are wanting help with their creative small business so I want to know how to best hit the mark and provide for each member here!

I’m with you Lydia. I’ve gone to craft fairs for years doing the same thing. I can gather so much inspiration from just seeing what someone else has created and then my mind is going on how I can change into something that is totally unique and mine.

@Michelle Cyr I love your paintings. These are so beautiful and hands are so expressive. I think I like the first one the best where she has his hand held between her two hands. Hands are such a connection between people. These are just beautiful.

I like number two as well, just because it looks cleaner, but if this book involves word, searches and stuff, I’d do better with that on the cover because then I would at least go to it and open it
