Discussion Question: GLP Dosing?
Welcome to all the new members in the community! We have some brilliant minds, researchers, practitioners, and biohackers here. If you're a beginner, don't be shy. this is a welcoming space and community. I've had some one-on-one discussions with members around their preferred GLP dose. I'm really curious and would love to have a discussion around this: How did you land on your GLP-1 approach? Everyone's titration story is different, some people start low and stay there, some push up fast, some land somewhere in between based on how their body responds. What actually drove your decision, was it side effects, weight loss pace, cost, something your labs showed, or something else entirely?

When the clinic I used to work at started their semaglutide centered weight loss, they gave us the option to try it. I did couple of months titrating according to their protocol. I do not have food "noise". I have fat loss resistance (long genetics story). I used for two months or so and decided GLP-1 was not for me. I lost muscle because i would completely forget to eat and my work out suffered. Energy suffered Five year later I became intrigued with Reta because of glucagon (mainly). So I have been titrating for 6 weeks. I am on a 4 gr/wk. The info I have is that 6mg is the optimal for my goals and size. Experience has been different in the sense that I feel the glucagon working. I am not tired. Still have to pay attention to eating enough, but I am able to pick protein and complex carbs easily. once a week I need a simple carb. I do not weigh myself (another story), rather go by body comp and mirror. So my expectation is to see results in the longer term. However, I had a yearly physical this week and had a preop consult in June. There was 15 lbs loss. I am not in the ideal state as I am recovering from knee replacement which is affecting my quality of sleep, but, I am noticing steady energy through out the day even with less than 7 net hours of sleep. I have experienced no side effects (nasuea, constipation, etc) This week I added 1mg of tesamorelin to attack visceral fat and started using a CGM. The CGM data is so different from my "normal" (in a good way) that I don't trust it. Very smooth curve. Curious if I could bring the average and early morning close to 80. So far positive experience with Reta
