Travis just made 1.5 years of my salary in less than 4 HOURS
I came. I saw. My jaw dropped. This morning @Travis Sago posted a new style of auction he came up with in his paid Ronin group. And while I’m outside freezing my balls off at my day job… Travis closed a winning bid of $89,000… (And he will at least double that closing deals on the backend). Now before you think “yeah but that’s Travis…” It wasn’t just Travis that made the money. Yes he has his own audiences. His own proven offers. His own reputation. But guess what… You don’t need any of that to run an auction. You don’t need your own products. You don’t need a massive audience. You don’t even need to be the expert. You need NOTHING at all. Other than to be the connector. Find someone with an audience. Find someone with an offer. Put them together and run an auction. Take a cut. That’s it. I’ve made thousands of dollars selling Travis’s products to Travis’s audiences. I’m watching people in Ronin run auctions selling OPP (other peoples prahdukt) to OPT (other peoples traffic). They’re not Travis. They don’t have his audience. They’re just connecting the dots between people who have what others want. And they’re making money doing it. Will you make $90K your first auction? Maybe you won’t (maybe you will) But could you make $1,000? $5,000? Maybe even $10,000? Easy. You just have to stop waiting for the perfect conditions. Stop waiting for your own audience. Stop waiting for your own offer. Start connecting. You don’t need to be the destination. There’s HUGE money in being the bridge.

@Jay Kibbee Wow - Thanks dude. That is very kind of you 🙂
Today is my 9 year wedding anniversary...
And we had a terrible day. We’ve all been sick for days. I had to go back to my day job today. My wife spent the whole day alone with 2 sick toddlers who decided today was the day to test the limits. I came home to chaos. Kids yelling. Exhausted wife. I had to go straight into enforcer mode. The rest of the night sucked. Not exactly the anniversary we planned. This is exactly why I’m building what I’m building. Not to buy fancy stuff or flex for social media. For days like today. So we can celebrate our anniversary instead of just survive it. I subscribe to the “extreme ownership” philosophy that every outcome you achieve (or don’t) is directly controlled by you. I know there are outside forces. But whether you build the life you want or not is totally up to you. And I have a lot working against me. I can make the day job excuse all I want. But that’s mine to deal with cause guess what? I’m not where I want to be yet. I AM a hell of a lot closer than I was this time last year. And it doesn’t really matter whether I have a day job or not. Because I’m not giving myself another fucking option. I will not beat my body down at a job for another 30 years. I won’t spend the rest of my life being the stressed about money dad/husband who can’t give my family the best version of me. I will put the lake in my backyard. Or I will die trying. I don’t have any other option. So here’s to 9 years with my best friend. Even on the hard days. Especially on the hard days.

Happy anniversary, Dude…! when you can manage it, the best part is being at home with the kids 😎 I’ve been working from home since 2010… while our son was at school. Just being there was soooo cool. I am very grateful for that.

What could you gleam looking over the shoulder of a copy chief as they take offers from ‘meh’ to ‘Take My Money!’? James here. Now’s your chance to find out. Earlier this week I did copy and offer reviews, Live, for Ronin and Make Em Beg To Buy members - at no charge. It was a lot of fun! (Check out the images below.) We covered: - How to make people care about content and offers - #1 thing that’ll make customers stop reading and start ignoring you in 2025 - The specific flow an offer needs to entice buyers - How to make your offer stand out in a “Me too” market - …And a lot more. If you couldn’t make the call live? The recording is now in the classroom, but… It’s only going to be free to watch for the next 7 days (until Friday the 22nd). After that it’s switching to paid. If you want to see how a professional, semi-retired, copywriter thinks about offers, copy and T3s… …And steal some insights you can use to make sales pop for yourself and your partners? Watch the recording in the classroom while it’s still free. In your corner, James Foster

Breaking down a strong pre-sell line by line…
First I want to clear up my post from the other day. I mixed up some terminology and said: “If you’re like me you’ve probably spent too much time on one thing… Trying to sell the bridge (the plan/meat/offer). The problem? nobody really cares about the bridge. They care about getting off Hell Island and moving over to Heaven Island.” When I said "Trying to sell the bridge (the plan/meat/offer)" I lumped together a few things that are different. People DO care about the plan AKA your different, desirable, and doable approach to solving their problem. People DO NOT care about the deliverables and features of your offer (how many modules, bonus calls, worksheets, etc.). The core of my message remains, but I want to clarify that I mixed up terminology and the PLAN is super important. The plan matters. The features of it do not. I hope I didn’t confuse anyone. In that post I showed you guys my shitty outreach to a potential partner. Now let me show you an example of what I’d consider a strong pre-sell post using @Travis Sago’s framework. It’s a post I just published in my group with a breakdown of what I did right. (Parenthesis = my analysis). Non parenthesis = part of the post. Hopefully this is easy enough to read doing it like this but if this format sucks let me know and I will figure something else out. You've been "researching" for months but your bank account looks the same… (Present Pain Opening… Immediately identifies a symptom (wasting time doing research without results) Symptomatic Messaging… “months" and "same bank account" are specific and pointable). I see this all the time. People consuming course after course. Video after video. Newsletter after newsletter. (Hell Island Symptoms… Specific behaviors we can point to) But nothing changes. (Present Pain… The core frustration) They feel busy. They feel productive. But they're not making progress. (Contrast… Feeling vs. reality) The worst part is that nagging voice in your head asking 'What's wrong with me? Why can't I figure this out?'"
