The moment when the 5th Clue gets out...
You’ve probably guessed what this clue is about since there isn’t much left to do. 🫣 It might not feel as exciting as the earlier clues, and for some of you, it might even mean there’s not much to work on—especially if your row gauge was on the longer side. If that’s the case, think of this as a little breather before the big finale. 🙂 But if you’re doing the longer version (like I did!) or your row gauge is tighter, you’ll have plenty of knitting to keep you busy until the next clue comes out. 🧶 Right now, over 420 projects have made it past Clue 1 on Skool, with new people still joining in! Plus, 175 have already finished Clue 4, and lots of you sharing your progress with big smiles, and honestly, nothing makes me happier! If you’ve already got the pattern, check your inbox or refresh your Ravelry library to grab the Clue 5 file. If you haven’t joined yet, you can get the pattern here. No new tutorials this time! For those who had issues with playing the videos recently, I hope that’s sorted now. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get much help from Loom support, but if you’re still having trouble, shoot me a DM with your device, OS version, browser (and version), and your general location (just the town is fine). 🙏 Alright, let’s get knitting! 💪

Does anyone have an approximate idea of how many meters of yarn they used for the ribbing at the bottom? I am doing size 2 - would like to use my colour C but I think I will be playing yarn chicken if there is a lot of C in the sleeves and might have to use a totally different colour. @Zanete Hussain thoughts?

After Clue 5. Will decide on length and ribbing and collar colour at the end!
Ready for Clue 4? The time has come.
It's amazing to see your projects become more and more beautiful with every clue! Right now here on Skool, we have 400 projects finished with Clue 1, 350 with Clue 2, and over 200 progress photos posted for Clue 3! I especially love seeing the photos of you modelling your work with proud smiles, that always makes my day! ❤️ Before we move on to Clue 4, I wanted to share a fun little thing I noticed yesterday. I've been keeping a note of everyone making two versions (there are 20 of you so far!), and I realized that two of those people have the same name. What a one-in-a-million coincidence! Shoutout to @Susan Evans and @Susan Evans 🥂 Clue 4 is here, and it comes with a fun new texture! I hope you’ll love adding this little stitch pattern to your projects as much as I did. I’ve already used it in a few of my recent designs, so of course, I had to include it in this one too. 😅 If you already have the pattern, check your inbox for the update or refresh your Ravelry library to download the Clue 4 file. If you haven’t joined yet but would like to, you can get the pattern here. I’ve also added some new tutorials for Clue 4 in the Rujuu course. Just head to the Classroom tab to check them out! Bring on the stunning photos and let me know if you’re going straight or shaped!! 🤩

@Dale Durocher I don't know if this will help, but I found if I visualized the sweater as a 'front' and a 'back' with the purl stitches at the underarm markers like seams, I have a marker at the BOR which is the centre back, and I have a different colored one at the centre of front so I don't go to far wrong after the side seams before I can catch it. I also have yet different markers at the two side seams. The first stitch of the pattern after my centre of front marker should be the same as the first stitch of the beginning of the round (BOR) So . . . the first stitch after your purl underarm seam, which is after the underarm marker likely won't continue the pattern of before the marker. It should be whatever stitch the pattern says. I'm doing size 2 so that is 23. If you are unsure, before you knit to the middle front, count out your pattern to your middle of the front marker (for your first underarm) and see if you have it correct, if not, count it out backwards from the middle of front. You should have the last stitch of a complete row before your middle of front and beginning of round markers. You can do the same from the second side seam to the BOR. Does that kinda make sense? I know kind of confusing too. I also use a highlighter pen on the pattern to highlight the stitch I should start on after the side seam purl. Also make sure you cast on the correct number for your underarm in clue 3.

Clue 4 complete! Did some shaping . . .
Clue 3 is here 🤩
I have to admit, seeing all your gorgeous WIPs throughout last week was a total emotional rollercoaster! It’s amazing to see over 340 projects through Clue 1, 240 of those have crushed Clue 2, and the number of people making two versions went up to 14! Every single one is so unique, I could spend hours scrolling through Skool every day, it’s a real treat just taking them all in. 😍 But Clue 3 is finally here, and it’s all about trying it and making sure it fits. I’m also really looking forward to seeing how many of you will choose to put your own spin on the neckband. I've seen a few of you have already jumped ahead because you just couldn't wait (totally get it! 😅) If you’ve already got the pattern, keep an eye on your inbox for the update or just refresh your Ravelry library to grab the Clue 3 file. Still want to join? You can grab the pattern here. I’ve also uploaded some fresh tutorials for this clue in the Rujuu course here in the Classroom tab. I can’t wait to see those smiling faces in the modelled shots!

@Zanete Hussain thanks. Last night's chinook sunset - a chinook is when warm winds move in and an arch forms towards the mountains. We are +18C today. Last year we were -20C this day.
Clue 2 done! … but…
So clue 2 is officially done and I’m loving it! But, I noticed that my tension was quite off with some of the longer floating sections of color work, so it’s kinda a mess. I’m so torn. Do I continue and hope blocking fixes it, or do I frog and restart, maybe going up a needle size in the section in question. I don’t have a lot of time off work, so it would put me way behind to restart now, but also it might be the best to do it now before I get too far into it and realize I hate it. It’s still very close to gauge, but it does noticeably scrunch in in that section, even though there are increases…. Idk. I’ll probably just frog it and cut my losses now and hurry to catch back up. Also, does anyone else keep a knitting journal? I love it as I don’t have a printer and I like a physical copy of color work charts as I like being able to cover up the chart I haven’t gotten to yet and I like having just what I’m working on written down without any other size details or extras as it slows me down in my workflow

@April Grace do you have a regular iron with steam setting? Put it over a rolled up towel. Just keep it an inch or 2 off the sweater and use the steam button.
The moment of Clue 2 has arrived!
I am absolutely blown away by how many of you are joining in this year! We’ve already seen 231 finished versions of Clue 1 posted, and 10 of you have even done two versions!! I’m so incredibly grateful and humbled that you’re sharing this journey with me, it’s honestly the best reward. I hope you’re having as much fun as I am! ❤️ I know you’re all eager to see what Clue 2 has in store, and I think you’re going to find it really intriguing. If you’ve already bought the pattern, check your inbox for an update notification, then refresh your Ravelry library to download the new Clue 2 file. If you haven't joined yet, you can still grab the pattern here. I’ve also added a couple of tutorials for this clue over on Skool! Just head to the Classroom tab to find the Rujuu course. I can’t wait to see your progress and how your colours continue to come together! 🤩
