Clue 2 Colorwork Chart, Rows 20 - 30, Sl Wyb (“V”)?
Hi everyone! I’m still on Clue 2 on the colorwork chart and I have made it to Row 22, but now I’m starting to question the Sl Wyb stitches on these rows (marked as “V” on the chart). On Row 20 and 22, we are knitting the rows, with the exception of the Sl Wyb stitches. On Rows 21 and 23, we are PURLING the rows, with the exception of the Sl Wyb stitches. So are we supposed to Sl Wyb KNITWISE for those stitches on the knit rows (Rows 20 and 22) and then Sl Wyb PURLWISE on the purl rows (Rows 21 and 23)?? Or are we supposed to continue slipping the stitches knitwise on every row so they become twisted? I don’t want to get too far and have to frog it because it’s wrong 😩 How have y’all been doing it? [Also - **REQUESTED REVERSE SPOILER ALERT** Lol if possible ☺️ So I am very aware that I’m pretty far behind and nowhere near as caught up with everyone else, but I have been trying really, really hard to shield my eyes from the full pattern progress so far on all social media platforms so I can still be surprised by the mystery sweater in my own knitting progress, so if you guys could please not show photos of your full work in the comments unless it is not showing any further than the rows in question, I would really appreciate that 🥰☺️ I just don’t have as much time to knit as I would like, so I haven’t been able to keep up, but still want that mystery reveal in this Yoke-Along! Thank you so much, everybody!! 🥰🧶🧶]

Is Color C technically the Background Main Color?
Kay..... Im picking a Dark Background, and I am Confused as to Whether or Not Color A or Color C is the Main Background Color. Based on the Yardage, I want to Assume that Color C is In Fact the Back Ground Color for the Majority of the Sweater.... Can I assume this is Correct??? Since there is a Large Yardage on Colir C? Please Enlighten Me! 🤣🙏🏻

I was confused about this also, and it took me quite a while to figure it out. I wanted to do the dark background color as well, but I only had so much yardage of the lighter contrast color, and was trying to figure out how I was going to make it work, or if I was going to have to switch them. Her prep video states that “A” is the background color and “C” is the contrast color - I think the yardage for “A” is only so much less because it does not include the hem/sleeve hems/collar in the yardage, since those are actually considered a separate color - color “D.” But “D” can also be the same color as “A” if you want your cuffs and hem and collar to be the same color as the background color (A) OR you can make it any of the other contrast colors or just a completely new color. (I’m so glad someone else is doing a dark background color like me! I was a little nervous about it because she recommended a light background color with dark contrast but I favor darker colors and wanted to have the opposite look. 🥰🧶) Can’t wait to see yours!! Good luck! 🤩🧶🤞🍀

@Saralise Sophia Sure! Sorry about the delay, I actually hadn’t knitted anything yet at the time of your comment and was still hand-dyeing and processing some of my yarn, but I am now knitting Clue 2, so this is what I have so far! Color A is Black, Color C is the Rainbow Pastel 🌈 and Color B is the Fluorescent Orange. (Also, I know it looks like there some jogs in the transition from the rainbow yarn into the orange yarn section, but that’s just the work rippling from it being on my needles. It’s actually a straight line all the way around)
Clue one complete!
Had a bit of trouble figuring out the Japanese short rows, but after 3 frogs I think I got it! Hopefully as the sweater continues to work itself out it stops this intense curling. Is this something that I should be addressing now before I get too far into the sweater?

Love the colorful hand dyed yarn! What are your other colors? 😍
Help!
I am so indecisive! I have narrowed it down this far and now I can't pick 😅 ABC left to right in each photo.

I would do number one - just because I usually get paranoid about using variegated yarns for colorwork if they have the same colors in them of another yarn I’m using. So, if you use the black and white striped/spun yarn in the color work against the solid white and black, you may end up with the variegated stitches looking more black or more white depending on how the stitch lays and they might blend with the solid white and black yarn and be hard to see the full design, but that’s just me being paranoid about my own colors LOL
The Mystery Yokealong is back!
Our Mystery KAL is officially back for year three! We’re knitting a top-down round yoke sweater (or a steeked cardigan) together over seven weekly clues, kicking off on January 16th. This year, we’re leaning into stash-busting, so feel free to start hunting through your yarn collection now. You can get all the details on the Ravelry pattern page or here on Skool in the dedicated Classroom where I’ll also be posting all the relevant video tutorials as clues become available. We’d love for you to jump in and share your yarn picks, questions, and progress photos. Just use the "MYAL 2026" category for your posts. Heads up: we aren’t doing spoiler alerts this time, so feel free to post away in whatever way you like just as long as it is in that category! I can’t wait to see what you all come up with this year.

I feel like I’m waiting for my weekly show’s episode to drop but instead, it’s me waiting for knitting pattern instructions LOL this is my first year participating, and while I probably won’t be able to keep up in speed with the rest of y’all, I’m still SO excited and I’m going to do my best to keep up! (I work full time 3rd shift, so work and sleep take up most of my time, followed by knitting LOL) This is super cool, having everyone else here that is just as excited! My coworkers think I’m weird for knitting all the time, so I’m super thrilled to see everyone else here. I’m still acid dyeing some of my yarn at home to use for the project, but hope to finish up this weekend!!!
